Sorry not sure the 12v prob will help this swtich works on 5v off 3v unlock 1v lock single wire lock/unlock logic signals
I found wiring diagrams at
http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/2004/docs/wd/rswd/tc.pdf
it is 2004 but use the wiring diagrams to test the wires
(most likely to fail where they flex)
because it is using logic gates disconnect the plug at each end of the wire you are testing or the damn thing will find a few diffrent ways to trick you.

Door lock receiver on a2001 Pontiac Grand am

Do they work with the key fob, do you have one of those? They lock when put into gear an unlock when put into park because the BCM - body control module does that .

Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door lock switch
• Front Passenger door lock switch
• Body Control Module (BCM)
• Relays: Driver Door Unlock -- on vehicles with RFA, Door Unlock, and Door Lock
• Door Lock fuse 15A
Door Lock System Controls
The power door lock system can be controlled by any of the following:
• A power door lock switch activation
• A keyless entry command -- if equipped with keyless entry

Driver and Passenger Door Lock Operation
When any of the door lock switches is pressed to the lock position, the BCM door lock/unlock signal circuit changes from an idle voltage of ~3.4 volts to 0.0 volts generating a lock command. The BCM then applies battery positive voltage to the Door Lock Relay, which in turn applies battery positive voltage to the Door Lock Actuator lock circuit of all the Door Lock Actuators. Since the Door Lock Actuator unlock circuits are held to ground through the resting Door Unlock Relay(s), the actuators execute the lock command, locking the doors.
The lock function can also be accomplished by the BCM having received a keyless entry door lock command, if the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry.

Driver and Passenger Door Unlock Operation

When any of the door lock switches is pressed to the unlock position, the BCM door lock/unlock signal circuit changes from an idle voltage of ~3.4 volts to ~1.7 volts generating an unlock command. The BCM then applies battery positive voltage to the Door Unlock Relay and the Driver Door Unlock Relay when equipped with keyless entry, the relay(s) in turn apply battery positive voltage to the Door Lock Actuator unlock circuit of all the Door Lock Actuators. Since the Door Lock Actuator lock circuits are held to ground through the resting Door Lock Relay, the actuators execute the unlock command, unlocking the doors.
The unlock function can also be accomplished by the BCM having received a keyless entry door unlock command, if the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry. Keyless entry personalization allows the driver door to be unlocked individually before unlocking the passenger doors. When this feature is active, the BCM will require a repeated unlock command to unlock the passenger doors.

Automatic Door Lock/Unlock
The automatic door lock/unlock function is a Vehicle Personalization feature with the following four programmable modes of operation:
The automatic door lock feature is disabled.
All of the doors lock when the vehicle is shifted out of Park with the ignition ON.
All of the doors lock when the vehicle is shifted out of Park with the ignition ON, and all of the doors Unlock when the vehicle is shifted into Park.
All of the doors lock when the vehicle is shifted out of Park with the ignition ON, and only the driver door Unlocks when the vehicle is shifted into Park.
For information on programming the automatic door locks, refer to Vehicle Personalization in Personalization.

2010 Equinox doors keep unlocking after the car is parked killing the battery

Could be any number of thing's causing this problem . Knowing what all is involved in the locking an unlocking of the doors is key . Computer controlled by the BCM - body control module , relays ,wiring ,switches etc... Bad input from switch or grounding wire to the BCM could make the BCM think door unlock has been requested .
Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door lock switch--Provides a switched voltage signal to the body control module (BCM) for both lock and unlock switch activations.
• Front passenger door lock switch--Provides a switched voltage signal to the BCM for both lock and unlock switch activations.
• Door lock relay--Located in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block and controls the locking of all doors and liftgate.
• Door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the passenger doors and liftgate.
• Driver door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the driver door.
• BCM--Class 2 module which requires programming when replaced
• Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
• LOCK/MIRROR 10 A fuse--Located in the I/P fuse block, supplies power for the door lock switches and relays.
• DR LCK 20 A fuse--Located in the I/P fuse block, supplies power to the relays

Door Lock System Controls
The power door lock system can be controlled by any of the following:
• Power door lock switch activation
• Keyless entry lock or unlock command
• Delayed locking command
• Automatic door lock command
• Lockout prevention command
• An air bag deployment
Door Lock and Unlock Operation
When a door lock switch is activated in the lock or unlock position the body control module (BCM) will receive a voltage signal on either the door lock switch lock or unlock signal circuits.
The BCM, upon receipt of a lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate lock relay control circuit(s) to battery positive voltage. This will energize the appropriate lock or unlock relay(s). The relay will supply voltage to the door lock actuator lock or unlock control circuits to one side of the lock actuator. Since the opposing side of the lock actuators are connected to ground through the other lock actuator control circuit and the normally closed contacts of the lock or unlock relay, the doors and liftgate will then lock or unlock appropriately.
Three relays are used to operate the lock. Driver door unlock, passenger door unlock and all door lock. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.

Automatic Door Lock Operation
This body control module (BCM) controlled feature can be personalized to driver preference.
The BCM will automatically lock the vehicle doors if the following conditions exist:
• All vehicles doors are closed.
• The ignition is in the ON position.
• The vehicle is shifted out of PARK.
The BCM will then unlock the doors when the ignition is placed in the OFF position.

The first thing ,hook up a professional type scan tool an check for DTC'S in the BCM
DTC Descriptors
DTC B3140 00: Driver Unlock Switch Circuit
DTC B3145 00: Passenger Unlock Switch Circuit
DTC B3150 00: Driver Lock Switch Circuit
DTC B3155 00: Right Front Lock Switch Circuit

DTC B3130 00: All Door Unlock Circuit

I have a 2008 Chevy Malibu inside door locks don’t work like theirs no power no does not click on inside to lock when you’re in the car nor outside when you put the key in the outside lock it only locks...

Probably not a whole lot your going to be able to do ,Unless you have a factory or some other professional type scan tool to check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's , an have service repair info for power locks for your car . Computer controlled (BCM) - body control module .
Door Lock System Components
The Power Door Lock System consists of the following components:
• Body control module (BCM)
• Driver door lock switch
• Front passenger door lock switch
• Reversible door lock actuator in each of the doors
• IBCM (PWR) 15-amp fuse
• Driver door cylinder switch, if equipped

Door Lock System Controls
The Power Door Lock System is controlled by the body control module (BCM) and can be activated by any one of the following:
• A door lock switch lock or unlock actuation
• A keyless entry transmitter actuation
• An automatic door lock or unlock actuation
• A last door closed locking (LDCL) actuation
If the driver door cylinder switch feature of the vehicle is functional, the locks may also be operated by a driver door cylinder switch lock or unlock activation

If the driver door cylinder switch feature of the vehicle is functional, the locks may also be operated by a driver door cylinder switch lock or unlock activation
Power Door Lock Switch Operation
Each door lock switch is wired to the body control module (BCM) through a separate door lock/unlock signal circuit. While these circuits are separated between the BCM and respective door lock switch, they are connected into a single circuit within the BCM. The BCM supplies voltage through the door lock/unlock signal circuits to each door lock switch. When either door lock switch is operated, this supply voltage is pulled to ground, providing the BCM with the required lock or unlock signal. In order for the BCM to distinguish between a lock and unlock signal, the lock switch contains two separate paths for this voltage to flow to the same body ground. When the switch is operated to the unlock position, the supply voltage flows to ground through a 1.5 K? resistor. When the switch is operated to the lock position, the supply voltage flows to ground through a different part of the switch circuit, which has no resistor. The BCM then interprets the flow of voltage as a lock or unlock request and powers the door lock actuators to the appropriate lock or unlock position.
Power Door Lock Actuators
The body control module (BCM) powers the reversible door lock actuators by providing battery positive voltage and ground to the appropriate lock and unlock control circuits of the actuators. The Lock control circuits of the driver and passenger door lock actuators are all connected together, however, the Unlock control circuits are connected in a slightly different way. While the unlock control circuits for the passenger door lock actuators are connected together, the driver door lock actuator has a separate unlock control circuit. The system is designed this way so that the keyless entry transmitter may be used to unlock only the driver door. Despite this difference, all of the lock actuators perform much the same way. When the door lock actuators are not active, all actuator Lock and Unlock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM. Transitioning of the lock actuators to the lock or unlocked position depends upon which control circuits receive voltage and which control circuits receive ground.
• If the BCM is commanding the door lock actuators to Lock, it momentarily switches the lock control circuits to voltage. Since the unlock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM, the actuators transition to the Lock position.
• If the BCM is commanding all door lock actuators to Unlock, it momentarily switches the unlock control circuits for both the driver and passenger door lock actuators to voltage. Since the lock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM, all lock actuators transition to the Unlock position.
• If the BCM is commanding only the driver door lock actuator to Unlock, it momentarily switches only the driver door actuator unlock control circuit to voltage. Since the lock control circuit is at ground potential within the BCM, the actuator transitions to the Unlock position.
Power Door Lock and Unlock Operation w/Keyless Entry Transmitter
The keyless entry transmitter may be used to unlock only the driver door. When the unlock button of the keyless entry transmitter is pressed once, the body control module (BCM) receives the unlock request from the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR). The BCM interprets this single press as an unlock driver door request and responds by switching only the driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit to voltage. With the lock actuator lock control circuit for the driver door at ground potential within the BCM, the driver door lock actuator transitions to Unlock.
If the unlock button of the keyless entry transmitter is pressed a second time within three seconds of the first press, the BCM interprets this second press as a request to unlock the passenger doors and responds by switching the passenger door unlock control circuits to voltage. With the lock actuator lock control circuits at ground potential within the BCM, the passenger door locks transition to Unlock.
To lock all doors with the keyless entry transmitter, a single press of the transmitter lock button is all that is ever needed. The BCM receives the lock doors request from the RCDLR and responds by switching all lock actuator lock control circuits to battery voltage. With the actuator unlock control circuits at ground within the BCM, all actuators transition to Lock.

2007 Saturn ion 3 door locks fuse location

Power door lock's are controlled by the BCM - body control module . Are you familiar with automotive electronic's ?
Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door lock switch--Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
• Front passenger door lock switch--Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
• Body control module (BCM)--Class 2 module which requires programming when replaced
• Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
• Body control module PWR 15A fuse--Located in the body control module fuse panel, supplies power for the door lock system

Door Lock and Unlock Operation
The BCM PWR fuse supplies battery positive voltage to the BCM for the door lock system.
The BCM supplies and monitors a reference voltage to the door lock switch through the door lock switch lock/unlock signal circuit. The door lock switch also receives a constant ground source. If a door lock switch is placed in the lock position, the reference voltage is taken directly to ground and the BCM senses 0.0 volts on the signal circuit. If a door lock switch is placed in the unlock position, the reference voltage is taken to ground through a 1.5K ohm resistor that is internal to the door lock switches and senses approximately 2.9 volts on the signal circuit. This is how the BCM determines what portion of the door lock switch was activated.
The BCM, upon receipt of a door lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate door lock actuator control circuits to battery positive voltage. The opposing side of the door lock actuators are connected to ground internally within the BCM through the other door lock actuator control circuit and the doors will lock or unlock appropriately.
Vehicles without keyless entry have two internal drivers in the BCM to control the door lock actuators. All door lock and all door unlock. Vehicles equipped with keyless entry have three internal drivers in the BCM. Driver door unlock, passenger door unlock and all door lock. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.

What fuse is it for rear hatch actuator 99envoy

One fuse powers all door lock actuators . The other door locks work ? if so it's not a fues problem .
The following locking functions are included on the vehicle:
• All the doors unlock -- All the doors will unlock, including the endgate/liftgate, when any power door unlock switch is detected. The passenger doors lock directly by pressing the lock switches. The driver door unlocks by the BCM using a driver door unlock relay.
• All the doors lock -- All the doors will lock, including the endgate/liftgate, when any power door lock switch is activated. All the lock actuators will activate directly from the power door lock switch (external to the BCM).
• The end/lift gate lock switch -- All the doors will lock or unlock from the end/lift gate lock switch

You probably have a bad lock actuator

I have a 08 chevy avalanche the driver side front and rear door locks won't work when I use my keyless entry button or on the inside driver panel. Could it be a fuse? Passenger side works fine I try...

Do the power windows work ? DDM - driver door module fuse 15 amp - location is the instrument panel fuse box , plus LT DR circuit breaker 25 amp. Circuit breakers rarely go bad . The power locks are controlled by electronic's .The passenger side has another power supply ,that's why they still work .
Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• The driver door switch (DDS)
• The passenger door switch (PDS)
• The body control module (BCM)
• The driver information center (DIC)
• The rear door lock/unlock relay (LBEC)
• The reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors and liftgate

The front power door lock switches are integral components of the driver door module (DDS) and passenger door module (PDS). The switches are 2 position normally open rocker switches. When placed in either the lock or unlock positions, the switches provide a direct input to the DDS or PDS. The DDS or PDS monitors these inputs and sends a LAN message indicating a change in the switch's respective position. Modules which activate the power door lock motors receive the LAN message and activate the motor in the appropriate direction to lock or unlock the vehicle's doors and liftgate. The rear door lock switch provides a lock and unlock signal to the body control module (BCM). The BCM upon receipt of a lock or unlock signal will control the rear door lock/unlock relay and also send a LAN message to the DDS and PDS to perform the appropriate function.
The modules which activate the power lock motors are:
• The DDS (driver door lock actuator)
• The PDS (passenger front door lock actuator)
• The BCM (both rear door lock actuators and cargo door/liftgate)
The DDS and PDS are directly connected to the respective door lock actuator through the door lock motor lock and unlock circuits. Once a door lock or unlock request has been received, the module will supply battery voltage to one side of the actuator and ground the other causing the doors to lock or unlock.
The rear passenger and endgate doors are controlled by the BCM through the rear door lock/unlock relay which is incorporated onto the printed circuit board in the LH BEC. The BCM controls the unlock relay by providing ground to energize the coil and controls the lock relay by providing battery voltage to energize the relay coil. The energized the relay and allows voltage to be applied to either the door lock motor lock or unlock circuits. Since the other side of the door lock actuator is connected to the normally closed contacts of the opposing relay to ground, the doors lock or unlock.

It's possible you have broken wire or wires inside the flex boot from the body of the vehicle to the driver's door . This happens a lot .
