Bad Service with LG VU - Voice Breaks up

I had just returned my first LG VU CU920 (2 weeks old) because people could not hear me when I called them, my voice breaks up when speaking to them and the phone service seems to shut down the call. I got a new one and the same thing happens to this one. I am very disappointed in this phone. I like the features (mostly) but there are definite issues with service for this phone.

Do others have these same issues?

Same problem here. I was going to return mine for another but now I'm not so sure it's the phone.

i had pretty much the same problem. i got used to it eventually and resorted to text. until resently i pushed one of the buttons at the bottom of the phone and the button actually CRACKED THE SCREEN FROM THE INSIDE. i will never get another LG Vu. waste of money in my oppinion...

Call your voice mail by calling your cell number on your phone if its the first time your service provider will tell that you need to set up your voicemail but if not when you call your first mail its telling you for mail box options press 3 or voicemail options press 4

How do i make a voice record and set it as my ringtone?

its nothing wrong with the voice recording, or your phone, voice recordings are simply not allowed to be set as a ringtone,
i have the same phone and it took me many calls and headaches to At&t before they told me that anything set as a ringtone had to be in mp3 format.

People cannot hear my voice very well (volume is too low) when I am speaking.

On the side of the phone there are two arrows, one stands for plus volume, the other stands for Minus volume... Try It!!!

When i try to call my voicemail it goes to a woman's comes up telling me to enter my 10 digit phone number for my voice mail box but when i enter it it just says that that there is no mail box with that...

This indicates the retrieval number stored in your phone is incorrect. You can call your service provider to get the correct number and instructions on how to store it. As a work around, call your own number, when you hear your voice or the voicemail greeting, press * and enter your password. This will work as long as the provider has the correct deposit number stored on their end.

Lg vu pairs with xlink but connection is very bad

Try removing the device, and reconnecting it. Sometimes that helps. Good luck.

How the heck do I set up voice dialing for hands free on my LG Vu

Go to "TOOLS" in the folder file, then voice command. Go to this link to down load the full manual. Then learn the voice commands that you may use.

Voice Command

To activate voice commands:
1. In your menu, go to MY STUFF MENU
2. select TOOLS
3. select Voice Command
4. Enable the on/off option

How to use it:

Call <Name or Number>: This function is activated only when if user says command “Call” and name stored in address book or specified phone number. Handset, voice engine inside recognize users utterance handset, displays name lists from your phone’s address book or phone number, however noise might caused to display candidates. Additionally user can superimpose number type at the end optionally, such as “mobile”, “home” or “office”.

HOW DO I RECORD A contact voice tag lg vu (cu920)

You do not have to record voice tags for your contacts. Go to Tools, click on Voice Command then Settings and finally Train. Follow the prompts and once complete, your phone will them be able to recognize your commands. when you hit the call button on your bluetooth headset, the phone will say "Say a command". at that point you can tell it to call any contact in your list or tell the phone to call a number (i.e. call 601 555 0123). The phone will ask for conformation and then make the call. The phone will also respond to request to check missed calls, check voice mail and tell you the time and date. Hope this helps.
