M2V Replacement failing to post after initial power on
I am now on my second M2V board with an Athlon 64 X2 4200. I have 1gb ram, pc6400, 5 hd's and dvdrw.
I have a 6800GS Nvidia card, and extra raid adapter in pcie x1 slot. Previously ALL components worked on previous board, but board failed after bios flash failed.
The new board i have will post after resetting RTC, but if i configure the settings in the bios, it reboots and fails to post. I can allow it to use default settings but when i reboot the machine, it fails to post. I have tried to remove all hd's and dvdrw but this fails to remedy the situation.
I am in the process of checking the jumpers on the board, however i fail to see how this would allow me to post on initial rtc clear, but not further on from then.
I can only boot after rtc clear, but after that it fails.
ANY help on the matter would be much appreciated.

Your existing CPU will not work with that motherboard. The AM2+/AM2 processor slot is for AMD processors only. For this motherboard, you will need one of the following processors: Phenom FX / Phenom / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 X2
I have the same Motherboard & processor but need to if any component has failed and whats the symptoms or are you trying to assemble one ad the PC is not starting up or not booting. Mention the OS and post your specific query as a comment to help us help you better................sodeep
