SOURCE: Change integrated Neff washing machine door seal

you will need to remove front panel this is quite easy, turn off mains open door and look for steel band spring holding front lip of door seal this needs to be removed it will be tight but will pull off, push door seal into drum so as out of the way, look at bottom of panel you will find 2 or 4 holding screws dependent on age of appliance undo these ,there is one other screw to undo behind the soap drawer take out draw and remove screw it is bottom r/h/side one you can then pull front panel away you need to disconnect door lock plug just pulls out.
remove panel out of the way and you will see another steel band holding back of seal to wash tub remove this and pull of door seal. reverse procedure to fit new one a little washing up liquid may help reassembly fit panel etc run check for leaks.

good luck

Model WF7700N6W1 - front loader - smell? Rubber seal inside door peels back a bit to reveal buildup of gunk between seal and inside frame? retaining water here?

Ok, nothing to worry about. You have bacteria growing in your machine. Clean out the slime from the door seal using a soft cloth and soapy water. DON'T use any harsh chemicals such as bleach !
Remove your detergent drawer (if possible) and clean it thoroughly - a dishwasher will do this very well. Disconnect your machine from the power supply and clean thoroughly inside the space where the dispenser drawer was, using a toothbrush or larger nylon brush and a soft, soapy cloth.
Using liquid detergents all the time can cause a build up of residue over time, which gives the bacteria and mould somewhere to grow. So try a hot wash cycle (without a load) using a powder detergent intended for whites. Washing powders contain brighteners and chemicals which are hostile to mould and bacteria.
Finally, leave your dispenser drawer and loading door open every night to allow fresh air to circulate through the entire machine. This will reduce the number of cleaning occasions needed.

The grey rubber door seal in our Electrolux EW1080 F has lots of black mould trapped inside it. Is there any way to remove the entire seal to clean it or do you just have to try your best to wipe around...

Don't use eucalyptus oil, because it will damage the rubber, and the smell will linger.
The black mould should be wiped off using a damp soft cloth and mild detergent. Diluted bleach (1 part in 10 parts cold water) can also be used, with care (wear gloves); don't use full-strength bleach, because it can damage rubber and corrode metal. Leave the door and detergent drawer open between washes and overnight to keep air circulating through the machine. This will slow down the regrowth of mould. For further improvement, wipe the seal dry after each use of the machine. If your laundry room remains steamy or damp for hours after washing, improve the ventilation

Black mould

this is the fatal flaw of front load washers, see this complaint over and over, use bleach to clean it or Tilex mold and mildew remover, make sure the hole that drains the seal is clean.

I have a front loader washing machine. The rubber inside is going mouldy. I have tried to clean same without success - any suggestions!

Unfortunately, once the door seal goes mouldy it is impossible to get clean. Only option is to replace seal. Once seal is replaced, you need to wipe it dry after each wash and leave door ajar to prevent reoccurence of mould.

A build up of brown slimy mould which marks clothes after washing. The door seal is stained brown in places and the brown slime is building up in the folds of the doo seal. What can I do?

try manualy cleaning the door seal with bleach and then amonia, ( NOT TOGETHER, ONE AT A TIME )
then pour some amonia into the machine and run it. amonia and/or vinegar work great to clean washing machines. but please note : this should be done seldomly as Amonia is a corrosive towards electrical parts.... hope this helps.

How do you clean the mould build up off the flexible door seal of a front loading machine. Can I take out the door seal safely to do it. Westinghouse front loading washing machine model LF711C

Bleach:Water solution 1:2 should kill the mould effectively.

What they should have told you when you bought this machine and what it almost certainly says in the owners manual is that front-loading washing machines, all brands, are prone to this problem. You must wipe the rubber gasket/door seal off when done using. Every time.

Dumb, I know, but necessary.

Washing machine does not wash clothes

You are possibly washing at the wrong temp, or not using sufficient powder or detergent.
The m/c is not rinsing properly, check that it is pumping o/k.
If there is a build up off slime and mould on your door seal, then you are definately washing at too low temp.
At least every 4 to 6 weeks, do a high temp wash with powder in but no clothes.
This is called a maintenance wash and helps to keep the inside parts clean..
If your door seal is stained, clean as best you can with a scourer pad or similar. You will not hurt the seal.
plz rate my solution .
Thanks.

LG Intellowasher wm-14220 FD

I had this problem, and it seems to be because the machine doesn't have the chance to dry out, so mould collects in the door. When the washing machine isn't being used, I simply leave the door slightly open - the washing machine dries and the black mould issue just about eliminated.
