Check cable connections. make sure connections are tight... also if you have satellite press "input, tv/video, source, or a/v" button on remote that came w/ tv. also check to make sure tv is set to ch 3 or ch 4 depending on how the satellite box is set (it will be on the back of the satellite box)

I have modelL2614XW02 why can’t do a channel serch

First ,what is the current input source? If the source isn't connected to the coaxial antenna (RG59) jack, then most TVs will not have the channel scan option available.

Next, the only L2614XW02 I've found is a version of the Maxent MX-26X3 TV. This TV only has an analog tuner. Very few analog OTA stations are still broadcasting and those that are use low-power transmitters. Thus you have to be close to the signal source to receive the broadcast. For most stations, you'll need an OTA digital to analog tuner converter box. Similarly, if you have cable and use a set-top box, that will not be a signal that the TV will tune in directly. Use the set-top box to search for channels.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(Note: the tuner can be damaged by a surge that came through the antenna. My household lost a converter box and a TV following a nearby lightning strike. If this is the case, you may need to replace the TV or at least the main board. ShopJimmy lists that part as out-of-stock, https://www.shopjimmy.com/maxent-dpwb11497-ml-b-main-board-for-mx-26x3-l2614xw02/ )

Tv problem- I have a LG model47lb5800. when I turn on the TV it shows a picture and sound for about 3-10 minutes. The TV then goes black flashes a picture intermittently. What's failing?

I had a similar problem in DEC 2017. Curiously the cable company stopped by in a week or so. (I did not call them for service.) It was a "SPECTRUM" truck and not an "OCEANIC" truck. Apparently Oceanic got bought out and the Technician was going around the neighborhood (Honolulu) searching for "Home Broadcasts" I remember reading about WW2 military was looking for homes with RF signals (looking for spys) I'm a retired Army Signal Corps. The Spectrum tech installed a filter on my cable line to prevent our home from producing stray signals. He also told me that my 'analog' TV won't work in JAN 2018 as they are switching to all digital by then. Says my cable will work for a while but expect the company to switch all the cable boxes out to digital. Sure enough my TV stopped working (on analog channel 3) and my cable box stopped sending the analog signal to my analog set. I found out that some of the other outputs worked (HDMI, Optical, etc.) I got the Bedroom TV (bought 2017) to work on HDMI. Picture is crisp BUT I don't seem to have the picture size right. It's smaller than normal (on analog) and changing screen from normal, wide, zoom, etc. really makes it worse. Panoramic is the best so far. Now I notice our older 'Monitor' 42" Plazma (2010?) still works on Chan 3 analog signal. I didn't have another HDMI ($30) cable so I tried using my old DVD Yellow-White-Red RCA cables and found it did not work.
* So.. Short answer; you need to get your TV hooked up to the HDMI output of the cable box. But I would check with your cable company first to see if they can resolve your issue. Now days, they can use a computer (from their end) to correct the problem or send out a service tech.
Aloha, ukeboy57

PS Try rescanning for channels. You will need channel 3 (sometimes #4) If it shows vertical bars then your set can't tune to the cable box. (Just like the old days of "Outer Limits") They do control the horizontal and vertical. You can try to hook your TV directly to the cable without the cable box to get some of the analog and digital channels if your set is less than 10 years old. But the channels are weird and hard to browse. You will need to write down the channels to remember your favorites. Cable remote won't work. But this is just a short term fix. You will end up subscribing to a cable or internet TV service.

How to tune channels first time when you purchase a new Sony Kdl 32EX600 LED tv?

Hello
Do connection to the antena if you wants to set the TV auto tuned.
During this initial setup, you can perform the following:

1 Select the language for the on-screen display text.
2 Select HOME or Retail mode. [Here you have to select "Home" mode if the set displays "Retail"

3 Connect cable or antenna, then select OK to run Auto
Program

• If you have cable and antenna available, please connect cable first.

• IMPORTANT: Auto Program is only effective when cable or

antenna is connected. If you cancel Auto Program before completion some channels may not be
available.

4 Auto Program will scan for available channels from the signal source directly connected to

the TV's CABLE/ANTENNA input and may take sometime to complete the process. Follow
the help text provided on the screen to run Auto Program.
OK.

4.14.1 Understanding Viewing Features
Your LCD HDTV features four viewing modes and Picture-In-Picture (PIP)/Picture-by-Picture (POP) mode.
You can switch viewing modes using the remote control.
4.14.2 Viewing Modes
Normal Mode
The original 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1 source) is preserved, so black bars are
added to the left and right of the display image. Standard TV broadcasts are
displayed with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Movies in 4:3 Aspect Ratio may be referred
to as pan-and-scan or full frame. These movies were originally filmed in 16:9
(widescreen), and then modified to fit a traditional TV screen (4:3).
Wide Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full-frame movie in this mode,
the display image is stretched proportionately to fill the TV screen.
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1 source) program or movie, the
display image fills the TV screen. If you are watching a widescreen
(1.85:1 or 2.35:1 source) program or movie, there will still be black
bars at the top and bottom.
Zoom Mode
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1, 1.85:1, or 2.35:1 source)
program or movie, the display image is zoomed proportionally to fill the
width of the screen. The top and bottom are cut off to remove most of
the source material’s black bars. This mode is good for programs or
movies with sub-titles.
Panoramic Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full frame movie in this mode,
the 4:3 Aspect Ratio (1.33:1 source) display image is stretched
horizontally on the left and right sides to fill the TV screen. The center
of the image is not stretched.

Note: Viewing modes are saved based on input. For example, you lasted watched a DVD in widescreen
mode and then watched TV in standard mode. When you switch back to DVD input, the viewing mode
will return to widescreen.
