Re: problem in internet connection, always hang when i am...

If Ie Hangs, the better way to narrow down the issue is to check with out browsers like Fire fox or opera. If you still have issues then we can sespect the issue is with the Net provider. To narrow down the issue try connecting any other friends computer at your home. If that works please write to we with the softwares you install after installing the OS. This might be an issue with Firewall or with TCP/IP settings. Or you can even try this The above steps will narrow down the issue. please send me the error message if you see any. Good Luck.

I cannot connect to the WFC because it needs the ip adress and the connection fails

Click start type cmd press enter you will be in DOS mode
type in ipconfigpress enter you will see all of your internet connection details type in your default gateway ip adress into your internet search should read something like

Your IP Address should be thought more as your computer's phone number than it's address, if you have multiple connections, you have multiple IPs if you dont have a connection, you dont have an IP.

Without further delay If you need your computers IP address:
This will work in almost every case, it simply requests the website's server to tell you what your IP is.
I have included a link to make things easier.

If you are in a network and need your computers local address.
Hold the windows button (looks like the windows banner, usually between left ctrl and left alt) and press 'R'.

A box will display, and type in "cmd.exe" and hit enter.
The 'command prompt' will display, a black screen with white lettering.
Simply type in ipconfig. This gives information on all your internet connections.

Look for the line "IPv4 Address".
If you need to find the IP of a current connection you can type (from the command prompt) "netstat".

This will give you all your current connections.
To identify a specific one, the easiest way is to run it before you establish the connection then again afterwards.
Change IP Addresses

Your IP address is a series of numbers that identify your specific computer on the Internet.
If, for some reason, you want to change your IP address, you can do so without going into the command prompt.Click "Start," "Control Panel," "Network and Internet" and "Network and Sharing Center."

Click "Change adapter settings."
Right-click the network you want to change and click "Properties."

Click the "Networking" tab.

Put a check either next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) or Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click "Properties."

Click the radio button next to Obtain an IP Address Automatically if you want Windows to assign one, or click "Use the following IP address" to manually change it.

Enter the requested information and click "OK."

Internet connection keeps on dropping

Can't seem to find the manual on it but....
Most DSL/Routers have a connection setting in them with 2 settings.
1) On demand (Connects to internet as needed)
2) Always on (Stays connected to the internet)

Sounds like your DSL/Router is set to option 1

Hawking Extender- Connected to WiFi but cannot access Internet

First think I always do is Reset Linksys Router and disconnect extender. Then turn off all security on router. Do soft reset on ipod. leave extender off and see if you can connect to the linksys. If you can then plug in extender (still with security off) then see if ipod connects to extender.

you might have to soft reset ipod again once you connect the extender.

if that works. reset security. Let me know how that goes.

Wirless connection wont connect to network.

On the WLAN world, exist a encryption key for connection. You will be able to see the "antenna", but until you enter the key you will not be able to access the network or the internet. First, disable the wireless security and try. Once you have verified the connection to internet then you add security. Use WEP.

Wireless connection will not work

The computer is viewing the signal, but its not connected yet. For that you have to enter a "key" in hexadecimal format. In other words you have to configure the security of the wireless connection on the router, then you have to enter the "key"that the router gives you. To enter the administrative configuration of the router, connect with the cable the computer and in the internet browser, enter or search for gateway IP address of the computer. There you configure Wireless Settings. Always use encryption for security reasons. WEP encryption will be good.

Cant connect to

what you need to do here is manually set your static IP adress, I had this problem as well and I know what to do.
you need to go to your network connections ( Controll panel>network connections) in xp (Controll panel>network and sharing center then left hand it sais: change adapter settings )
then rightclick your wireless connection and look at it's properties. then you need to click on Internet Protocol, for vista/windows 7 it's internet protocol 4 which you need to select. once selected click on properties just a little below.
there you'll see the setting is on: obtain Ip automaticly, but you'll have to choose ( use the following IP adress ) and enter

IP adress:
subnet mask: Default Gateway:
once entered press OK and now go to your browser and type the routers adress ( in my case and now you should be in your modems setup menu.
once changed your setting you need to change your IP back to auto obtain IP adress. or your internet still won't work
