Every Hoover I've had has two screws on the bottom that you remove.  Then you lift off the cover and you pry out the brush roller. The new belt goes with one end on the motor shaft and the other end on the humped roller part on the brush roller.  Good luck it's a bit of a struggle but you can do it.

Belt broke how do i fix it

To my knowledge model F7220900 SteamVac doesn't require a belt. Are you sure that is your model? If you have a different Hoover model you can get a replacement belt here:

Sometimes you have to replace the brush roll itself depending on what kind of vacuum you have.

Vacum will not pick up

Due to the way carpets are made - new carpets sometimes have a lot of loose fiber. This is NORMAL and it may take 3-5 times to vacuum the carpet till it goes back to normal. Spitting out fuzz balls is a bit weird. Make sure you have the belt installed right - see video on www.goodvac.com. but the fact that belts keep breaking I am assuming that you have them installed right. Give it a few more belts and if the problem presists - let me know.

Replace belt

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The suggested belt change is every 4 to 6 months if the belt is a flat belt and to store the extra belts in a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator. As far as your question I would need more information about the brand name and model # to instruct you as per the belt change, other wise I don’t know how to instruct you as per the how to install the belt on your particular vacuum cleaner. Or, you can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to contact the manufacturer’s website and or phone #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Thanks, Don the Vac Man

Hello,

There are only 2 ways you can install a belt on a Turbo Power 2000, either you can remove the bottom plate and expose the belt, 1st place the belt on the brushroll section of the vacuum then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a left or right hook @ the end and pull the belt onto the motor pulley, once you get the flat belt onto the motor pulley than you do what is called tracking to straighten belt out so it runs straight, replace the bottom plate. 2nd then remove the top cover by 2 to 4 screws or levers and then remove the top, then follow the procedure listed above. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How do you replace the belt on the pro heat? My belt broke.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You may check your owner’s manual to see how to replace the belt, but normally the belt is replace under the top cover by removing 2 to 4 screws and the top cover will come off to replace the belt. As far as maintenance it is a good idea to replace a flat belt every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning and if it is a v belt or geared belt then the belt change would be once a year. If you have other questions feel free to contact you local vacuum dealer in your area. Belts keep breaking

Check the brush roll ends to see if they have melted or frozen. They should turn freely, part #361869-1. Make sure the belt isn't being pinched somewhere.
