Re: adjust settings

Good Day, please check the capacity of your memory stick, your camera has a 4.1MP imager, at that max. resolution, 1 picture is approx. 1.5Mb in size, my idea is, your memory stick maybe has 16Mb capacity, as you said can only store 10pictures. Adjust the resolution by pressing the button with the "squares/trash can" icon located at lower right on back of camera, in camera mode and select lower resolution, ex. 2Mb, 1Mb or VGA, then check if you can still record additional pictures. Or buy a new higher capacity memory stick 128Mb above, hope this will help, thanks

Well I have had my nikon D3100 now for a year and half and use to completely loved it. But a couple of days ago it started acting up. It randomly will not respond when I try to take a picture. Some times...

Check your manual. I suspect you are also getting an ERR message in your settings screen. This happens to me occasionally. There is an explanation for the ERR message in your manual. I usually am able to fix mine by turning the camera off and on. Sometimes, but rarely, I have to remove and reseat the battery. The manual says if it happens frequently you should contact Nikon support.

How do I change the shutter speed on the Fuji Film Fiinepix Z20 fd

Turn on the camera and rotate the shooting dial to one of the shooting modes, such as auto.

Press the "F-Mode" button to adjust frequent settings like ISO and picture quality.

Use the up and down arrow buttons to navigate between settings. Press the right arrow button to present the available options.

Use the up and down arrows again to adjust the settings option. Press the "Menu/OK" button to apply the change.

Exit the menu by pressing the F-Mode button again. Press the Menu/OK button while in shooting mode to adjust less frequent options, such as white balance and the auto-focus mode.

Use the up and down arrow buttons to navigate between settings, similar to the F-Mode menu. Press the right arrow button to present the available options.

Use the up and down arrows again to adjust the settings option. Press the "Menu/OK" button to apply the change

Hey guys. I use my old vivitar 728AFC flashgun on my canon 550d (T2i). the flash works but does not communicate fully with the camera, however my problem is; when set my camera ss higher than 1/200 it...

Hi, the flash in question will not work in TTL mode even though it has contacts on the bottom that may indicate that it could...... so it will work in auto or manual mode but not adjust itself. All adjustments will have to be made manually.

Camera won't take photo frequently

It might be telling you the internal memory is full. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to format (erase) the internal memory. Then insert your card and see if things improve.

Doesn't remember time and date

Keith, it sounds like the camera internal battery for the memory is dead. Normally they will last several years, however I have seen them go bad in one to two years. These batteries are not easily replaced on the Kodak models and requires disassembling the camera and soldering in a new battery. My recommendation would be to keep good lithium or rechargeable batteries in the camera, removing them only when they need replacing, or if the camera is going to sit unused for more than a couple months.

Setting pixels

If you have your owners manual, read it and it should tell you which menu to navigate to when you want to set the RESOLUTION. Set it to the maximum (largest numbers) you can and that should solve that problem. Downside is, the larger the resolution setting, the less amount of pictures you can store in the internal memory or on an installed memory card. Get a larger capacity card but don't exceed your cameras' capability. Cameras only a few years old can max out at 2 gigs. Get into the habit of saving your pictures to you computer frequently. Reformat the memory card (while it's in the camera) this keeps the card at peak capacity.

Image through view finder is blury

Hey DarsCanonFix,
This camera does have a diopter adjustment on the viewfinder to correct for bad eyesight. I would try adjusting this since it could have been accidentally set incorrectly. If this doesn't work the camera might just need a good cleaning by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Shutter button on Sony camera

Hey melboz,
You can purchase a replacement shutter button from the manufacturer for about $18 and I have included a link to the part for sale at Sony. If the camera is less than a year old the repair could be free thru the manufacturer, but I am assuming this is not the case since Sony is telling you they want $140 to fix it. I have never replaced this shutter button myself but from what I can tell by searching the internet it is not too difficult to do yourself. I hope this helps!

This is a problem that occurs often in all of the Sony Cybershot cameras. To fix this problem, hit the "Sony" logo on the front of the camera with one of your knuckles. I know it sounds abusive, but it works everytime! and with every Sony camera:)
Best of luck,
