Whirlpool Duet Washer Mod:WFW9550WW00 trying to start load, lock clicks in then unlocks and time flashes, repair guy says $450 to maybe fix the spin control???

I would unplug the unit from the wall, wait 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If that does not help you will need to call Whirlpool. Your unit may still be under warranty. If not, they may be able to tell you what the problem most likely is. I would check your options to check the cost of repairing vs. replacing the unit. Also, call around and get several estimates.

We have a 10 year old 27" double whirlpool in wall oven and the temp. reading panel reads E6 and F2 and it keeps going out. What can I do. I cannot find anything in the book that tells of the codes.

Hello,

here is the fault code as found in my (online)service manual for that brand;

F-2 E-6 Cancel drive line open

Solution;
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock)

ACE184XD1 will not heat or cool. Fan works fine.

If your fan is working this is a good thing. So we know we have good power to the unit.
Your going to need to remove the cover from the unit, remove several screws to get access.
Make sure power is off and where the compressor is, on top remove the cover where the power connects inside and make sure there is no wires burnt, if all is well, move onto the capacitor.
Its usually the cause of compressor failure. Write down where the wires are located on the capacitor (read the top of capasitor) and take the capacitor to a local appliance supplier and have them test it and if bad then purchase a new one and replace in your unit.
Also make sure to verify no wires are burnt in the unit or melted together, and it never hurts to clean it while you have it out.

Good Luck!

A/C window unit is putting out 20amps when suppose to be 12amps

the run capacitor for the compressor may be shorted out or could be a bad compressor .You will need a repair person to repl the compressor but you could change a capacitor if technically inclined.

Need New Microwave

Is the interior flaking the only problem with it?

It can be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly, then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

Otherwise, if you want to replace it, I would suggest contacting Jenn-Air Customer Care here and telling them your model number.

They can probably give you the model number of a new "drop-in" replacement.
