The DC pin on your laptop is bent/broken/loose. Look at where your power adapter plugs in on your laptop. Get a paper clip, bend it out to make a long paper clip and slightly push its tip on the pin inside your laptop. If the pin moves chances are either the DC pin needs to be soldered down or needs to be replaced. The part is usually cheap around $10 but the labor can cost more than $50.

While logged into the router, Turn on "broadcast ssid" or tell your computer exactly what the SSID is. One form of security is to set the router not to tell other computers in wifi range what the ssid is.

Check the wireless settings of the router .
Is there any other computer online wireless ?
If yes then the router must be working. check the settings of the computer.

that might take an uninstall and reinstall of either the ethernet drivers, or the operating system. I haven't heard that, but I have had machines that aren't as reliable in the wireless as they could be. it's possible that something in the workings of it has gone haywire, but it sounds like an OS issue.

Back up everything you want to keep and reinstall the OS if possible.

Look in control panel - system - under hardware tab the : Device manager. in there is the network adapters open it from + sign and check is the cross marged on wireless driver if yes then its disabled u can use right mouse button to enable it

also you can find this thing under my network connections look is the wireless disabled or enabled if its disabled use right mouse button to enable it.

try going to you device manager, check if your wireless device is there, if it is unpdate drivers and download new version of the wireless adapter from the HP website.
