Question about Bose Lifestyle 28 System

Power Outage Our local power went out. My system will not turn back on after power was restored. It had been working fine before the power outage. Everything else using the same power supply is working fine. I have checked all connections. It is totally dead.

After a power outage, I have to unplug it, otherwise it stays on and keeps recycling. Reset?

The power outage, can be caused by an over voltage, or after the power came back there could have been a spike.
It must have damaged something in the logic or in the power supply. Ask a repair store to fix it.

Sony ht-ct150 will not power on after power outage

It sounds like you might have experienced a power surge from the wall socket that fried some part of your speakers. You will likely have to have the speakers repaired. Consider investing in a surge protector in the future, and check the user manual for the speakers:

Lost power, now that it is back on, i can not get the power on the tv to work, i tried both the remote and the power button on the tv itself. Any suggestions?

If you had a power outage (from what I've deciphered), you may have a broken TV on your hands.
If it happens to be a LCD TV, it maybe a mildly simple fix, as in changing the LCD inverter, or power supply.
if your TV has indicator lights to show if the TV is on, but no light is coming on when you press power, then most likely power inverter. if the light turns on, then turns another color, its most likely the power inverter.

If you don't have the heart to rip open your own electronics, a repair shop is the next best thing.
But, parts are cheaper bought online, so if you have a friend with some experience, it might be the right time to make some calls.

Hope that helped,

Samsung HT-Z310 will not power on after power outage and unplugging and holding the stop button for more than 5 seconds does not resolve the issue, any suggestions?

Open the system and replace the brown fuse with the number 382 on it. It's right where the cable plugs into the power board.

DVD player won't turn on after power outage

Hiya, sorry to say that the power supply is probably damaged, sometimes happens with power outs. Unless it is expensive model, they are sometimes not worth fixing (although the fault could be very simple like a single diode etc. Maybe send it in and ask for a quote, then decide if it is worth it.

Best of luck

DVD Player Only Produces Snow After Power Outage. Halp!

Sounds like your TV has lost the DVD channel. Turn off TV and make sure the DVD player is connected to TV and is playing a DVD. Now put you TV on and press the SOURCE or AV button on your TV remote until you can see the DVD channel. In older TVs you may need select channel and tune it manually using the TV setup.

No sound

Unplug it then plug it back in, it will reset something and then will work fine, probably caused by a power surge or power outage. Hope this helps someone, God Bless.
