My toshiba laptop doesnt read SDHC card

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite M115. It seems to read SD cards (1GB and below), but not SDHC cards. Let me know if there is any update i need to install for the same

sdhc cards are not backwards compatible with sd card slots. sd cards however are backwards compatible with sdhc card slots. newer card slots and readers are sdhc and sd ready but i'm afraid your only option is to buy a usb sdhc card reader. normally the 52 in 1 readers and ones like that work well and really don't cost a lot on ebay. the only other thing you could try is to put the sdhc card in an sdhc device (such as a camera) and link it up to the laptop that way.
