When the open button was pressed the drawer will not open, there is a noise as though something is moving but hte drawer will not open.
I think a game is stuck inside.
It might be a game or it could be a tiny rubber band what spins the wheels to open the tray might have snapped, best bet is to take it apart and have a look see!

Uh, I think you already have a solution but the following may help someone else.
Ensure that the device is powered on.
Press the "Function" button (28/58) to set the unit to CD mode.
Press the "Open/Close" button (19/48) to open the CD drawer.
Insert a CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
Press the "Open/Close" button again to close the CD drawer.
If the above steps don't work, you can try the following:
Unplug the device from the power outlet.
Wait for a few minutes.
Plug the device back in.
Press the "Open/Close" button to see if the CD drawer opens.
If the drawer still doesn't open, there might be a mechanical issue with the device. Look for the Fixya advise referred to above. If if that doesn't work, in that case, it's best to contact Crosley's customer support for further assistance.
I also have a problem with the drawer. It opens when I switch the unit on and when I close it - it opens again!
If I switch off at the mains the drawer remains open - to prevent dust ingress I have resolved to holding the drawer in whilst shutting down the power until I get a solution.
the open button could be shorted meaning the unit is constantly being told to open its tray i think its worth having looked at and i think your sons off the hook dvds are pritty hard for kids to muck up unlike the older vcr you would no belive the things kids would put in them best one i ever saw was a weat bix and a slice of toast.
guess what / your right / have a chat with the co that sold it to you . I d let the woof out of the freezer and then it would weigh less and the drawer would slide easly . problem over .. , not quite . this is a quality product and you should expect it to be . draw's should be smothe ect . look for damage to outside and frame if found have them replace it . mm
Hi and welcome. I think I can help here. Read over my instructions first before pressing any buttons- Set the machine in diagnostics mode by first pressing the small lock button and holding it down, followed by the center button. (hold them both together, but start by pressing the lock button FIRST) for about 6 seconds. (you have to press the center button down right after you depress the lock button or else you will just set the machine in LOCK mode) You will hear a BEEP. Now push the far left button once. Now look at the display and press the center button to scroll thru the codes. You want to find "LD", I believe you will see it after three sucessive codes from the begining, but either way, scroll thru until you see LD, and then press the small lock button once. You should hear the lid motors retract now, and you will feel the drawer "come loose" again once the lid motors are back in the retracted position. Then simply turn the machine off. This clears the diagnostic mode. That should free the drawer up. Try this first and if you still have problems, let us know.
Being that it is an old unit, even though it worked just fine except I had to open and close the drawer by hand. I sent it to the trash bend, It was an Onkyo C110. Thanks anyway!....Bob
sound like its taking in too much water if you look in top of your machine you will have a thin rubber tube coming up too a pressure switch i think this switch may be faulty
1. Most of the player drawer fixed over the chasis for a rigid support 2. try to remove the drawer safely without damagind the chasis and drive mechanism 3. there might be some shaft jam. 4. Look for the thread. how does the player drawer moves in and out 5. there may be some sensors to sense the door close/open. if it is jammed then open/close function cannot be done. why because this problem occurs 6. unwear the mechanism read the mechanism moving technique. see which has got jammed. 7. if you feel too risky then 8.contact service centre... all the best
