No display, processor fan is running, power supply is good, bios battery is new, my RAM and video card are good, when i checked my motherboard below memory slot i saw this, i don't know what to call this small black square shape "APM2054N (WH2EH)" look like it was leak...

    Question:
    1. what to call to this small black square shaped?
    2. Could this motherboard still be fixed if this small black square shaped is really causing the problem?

SOURCE: restart

Hi:
Test your memory.

Check one stick at a time and use a program such as memtest86 free for use. http://www.memtest86.com/

Memory can cause these problems.

The mother board could be the problem.

Try another display card in one of the pci slots. See if the display will work that way.
If the internal display is not working right, you may be able to turn it off. Or just use another video card.

take care,

Dell E6400 won't boot up (most of the time)

Computer does not boot up
The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Problems with my emachines monitor. I have an Emachines monitor as my second monitor E17T4 monitor. When the machine is on sometimes it is fine othertimes the screen goes black but the power light stays...

youmight remove your graphics and check the socket for dust restart your computer this should activate the found new hardware wizard
if you run an extended desktop this will tell you if the monitor has gone bad
use a vga lead to attach it

click start control panel display change display settings adjust resolution this may vary depending on your operating system you should a no 1 and a no 2 with detect and identify keep an eye on

the screen when you select the number tabs this may vary depending on your operating system when you select the no 2 tab this should be the extended desktop always click apply after making any changes
i have read some reviews on your monitor
So the ex-hubby calls me with his woes - his eMachines T3124 is having problems. Seems that when he cold boots in the morning it hits the "E" splash screen and then just goes to black screen. No bios boot screen, no boot to windows. Everything sounds ok though. After a few restarts it boots ok. So, first trouble shoot is to replace the 180w Bestec power supply with a salvaged 300w Hippro from my T6420 (which was replaced with a 500w) - the one I replaced the mobo on. Works great ... for one night. Next morning I get the frantic call - now he gets nothing after the "E" splash but white wavy lines, but the computer sounds like it's running fine. Ok - ok ... think, think. First thought was maybe the onboard graphics have gone, next thought maybe the mobo is going ....

What is the next thing we do after trying a known, good power supply? Try another working montior. I had him try using a trusty older CRT monitor and Wha-Lah! After less than 3 years the E17T4 LCD monitor had failed. Most recent crisis handled. This little incident has made him realize though that he needs to burn all his picture and videos to CD. Scared him to think he could have lost them. Today's reminder? BURN your pictures and videos now! You never known when something might happen. And eMachines monitors are ****.

hope this helps

Our Toro, guaranteed to start, won't start. We can cut awhile, then it will not restart. Plug is fine, getting a spark, and not at all wet, can't seem to find the problem. This doesn't...

I have the same problem. One time this happened and it restarted after a few hours and worked fine for 5 more cuts over a couple of months time. Now again it quit mid cut of my yard and would not restart. When trying to start it would fire for a few seconds and than shut off again. I wated a week to try it again and now it does nto fire at all. This is about a year old mower with only about 10-15 hours of total use.

You may need to change your thermostat or coolant temp sensor, If the sensor does not detect proper temp than this could cause ur problem.. A scan tool could help give u the readings.
