No cd or instructions for lexmark x1270

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X1270 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
For the Lexmark OCR scan software, it is only available on the Lexmark installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

To install the Lexmark X1270 All-in-One Printer driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating system by clicking on the appropriate link. A window should then show up asking you where you would like to save the file. Save the driver file somewhere on your computer where you will be easily able to find it, such as your desktop. Then follow the instructions below corresponding to the file type that you downloaded
exe (Executable File) Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on the file. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions for installing the driver

If you still have access to your old computer you can make a back up of the installation files. To do so, find your lexmark folder in your operating drive and copy the complete folder to a CD/DVD. Place into your new computer and double click on the installation executable file.

I need a download for a 1270 series Lexmark printer (installation disk). Please help.

This driver can be found at Lexmarx site: http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

Click on Find Drivers & Downloads. In the search by model window type in X1270. Across the top of the screen right under "Technical Support" written in red, click on "Download Driver". Choose your Operaing System, then click on Download Now.

The only way to setup the printer without the proper drivers would be to use windows add new printer. However windows does not have lexmark x1270 listed. You can dlownload the software from lexmark & install the software / drivers without using the cd.
