Question about Whirlpool 26.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator ED27PQXF
My refrigerator made a squeeling sound, coming from the freezer side, about mid-way between the top and bottom. I turned off the ice maker and after awhile it stopped squeeling. After a few hours, we noticed that the side of the refrigerator at about the same spot is hot on the exterior. The gasket is warm on the refrigerator part too, at about the same height. Any help?
If you are getting heat around doors, You need to check the condensor fan. Remove toe panel and you should feel air blowing out. Clean the condensor coils if they are clogged. If you don't feel air coming out, pull unit out and remove back cover. You will see the fan that keeps the compressor and condensor cool. It should be running any time the compressor is running.
