SOURCE: charging walkie talkies

This is more for "mshtexas" than the OP but I'm sure there may be others out there wondering the same thing. The power cord that comes with this unit has a 9.0v output at 200mA with the center pin being positive

Whats the voltage maximum on the cobra walkie talkies

Most lithium small radio batteries are 3.6 volts. If AA or AAA batteries, multiply by 1.5 volts. 4 batteries = 1.5 * 4 = 6 volts MAXIMUM. Rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volts. Your charger would be a much higher voltage because it takes power to "push" the charge into a battery. You didn't say, so I am assuming you want to operate the radio with a wall charger. I've done this by soldering the wires to the battery contacts. You need a higher voltage than 3.6 volts, but milliamps is more important. You need enough milli amps to get the radio to transmit. Too much and it frys, literally. So, this is all on you to decide if the risk is worth it. I use a 5-6 volt power supply set on no more than 1 amp (800 ma is my favorite size) 1 amp = 1000 ma. Let us know if this helped!

Can I do morris code on this model?

Well, any radio could do Morris Code. The question really is how. Handheld radios would need to be hooked up to an input device to take the place of a Morris Code "key". The person listening needs to hear the dit, dit, dit, dash, dash noises. I am not certain if that is what you want from an FRS radio. It would take some cobbling together. What is your goal?

Do you leav the cobra micro talk walkie talkies on when charging

Also, never transmit with them in the charging cradle. I know, lots do but you risk ruining the radio beyond repair.

One will not charge How to change batteries

There's a small half-round clip at the bottom, open that, then you are able to lift the battery cover and swap batteries.
