Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Unchargeable, not battery

My Razr v3i deep violet is supposed to be GLOBAL phone, and I'm using in Midwest US. I left it on, battery drained, but it wouldn't charge in the car or in the house (with Euro-charger). Called Motorola, and I was told by a non-English speaking person that the phone was NOT designed to be used in the US (despite it being a GLOBAL phone, lol) and that the software "crashed" on it, and that it was irreparable if it wasn't a battery problem. I tried a new, charged-up battery and it would not power on. When the power button was pressed, the keypad lights up for a second, then dies. I'm sick...I paid $165 for this phone, and I've used it only 3 months! Any ideas how to fix my phone?

My phone reacts by providing bootloader on battery insert with *# pressed, but I cannot PM you; there's no link to do that. (???)

I've downloaded the software you mentioned b/c I found it on, but I'm having a problem installing it, I think, because I'm running Vista (damn I hate Gates!!!). I have an old laptop at work that is really slow with an eBay bad copy of XP on it that still allows me some functionality, so I'll follow the hackthev3i directions using that XP, I guess. The phone is probably backed up on that same PC, too. Should I try to restore from back-up first before installing all that software and running the full restore steps? If it's like a PC HD, then my instinct says "yes," lol.

Best tools to recover your phone is RSD Lite 3.0 or higher, P2k driver 2.9 and also you will need P2K Easy Tools 3.9. Google for them. If you are having problem finding these soft let me know.

ok use RSD Lite 3.8 compatible with vista. again Google for it. You can also use p2k 2.9 manual install zip Google for it again. if you find it extract all the zip file on win32 folder . then run RSD Lite 3.8 and plug the cable then install the 2.9 manually from the location you extract the
