Question about Samsung 94V 19 inch LCD Monitor

Open Question

Unable to select the correct screen resolution with GeForce 6150

I have Vista Home Premium (italian) and a GeForce 6150LE, embedded with an Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard (nForce 410). My problem is that when I try to use *ANY* driver different than the original Vista WDDM driver (7.14.10.9686), with my Samsung 94V monitor, I can't select any different resolution from 800x600 or 1024x768. The native resolution of my monitor should be 1280x1024. I've installed the latest fix from Windows Update and also the Compatibility patch. I tired to force Windows to use 1280x1024 resolution by changing the system registery but i had no chance... What can I do?

Ensure that your video setting is at 60hz when at 1920x1200. According to the specs of your monitor, the freq from the video card might be set to something higher.

Go into advanced settings from the settings tab of "display properties" and select the "monitor" tab, from there, try changing the refresh rate. Toggle "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" if you do not see any other settings in the drop down other than the one that is already selected.

Yes, try going back to windows xp and if you have the DVI port on your video card, try that.

try to revert back to your old nvidia driver, if it works, the latest driver does not support your syncmaster, contact nvidia or samsung..

This is the driver page for Vista 32 bit, you can change the OS if yours is different, towards the top of the page, it sounds like you need the chipset driver for your Board, but this is the manufacturers URL

IDE ports in asus m2npv-vm & m2n-mx motherboards

hi, i have a couple of those boards. they have 2 ide ports on them and 4 serial ports. if youu do get the m2npv-vm, one thing that is weird about it, one faces up from the board and the other lays flat off the edge. also the ports are right next to each other and the polarity (which side you put the ribbon cable stripe on) is opposite each other. so if you don't use a keyed ribbon cable you might hook them up wrong.
