Yashica Samurai Video 8 playback

I own a Yashica Samurai Video 8, which has a problem with the playback. I hit play and then the video plays for 3 seconds, then it stops and the 'CAUTION' light becomes lit. I have hours of home movies on this camera and would really like to see them again, as well as put them on VHS. any help is appreciated

If you're interested in having your video8 recordings digitized, you can check out our website at  We offer a convenient digitizing service at an excellent price.
For your tapes, if you've tried it on several cameras, it may be that your tapes have been damaged or deteriorated with old age.  You can take them to a professional to have them cleaned and treated, but that is no guarantee that they will work thereafter, I'm afraid.

Actucally, there are a few ways to bypass Cinavia, but no program can remove Cinavia. If your video is a homemade movie or other personal recording, to play your recording without muting you may either:
· Pause the video, wait 30 seconds for the audio to be un-muted, then skip over those portions where the professionally produced material is used and continue playing the rest of the video, or
· Pause the video, wait 30 seconds for the audio to be un-muted, then play video from a different optical disc for at least 10 minutes before continuing playback of this video.

How long is my Trio supposed to play? I'm only getting 4 hours on a full charge.

As per the company specifications it should provide up to 8 Hours of Continuous Playback. I'd suggest that you set the light out time at 10 seconds keep power saving mode and reduce the brightness. Also dont play at full volume.

This will help you to increase the playback time. Though not up to 8 hours. Make sure not to overcharge the battery.

Also the video playback time is 3-4 hours. As you have not specified whether you are reffering to audio or video playback time, so I am assuming its audio playback time. If its video or mixed then your player is ok..

Hope this helps..

Why won't older Sanyo VCR playback VHS tape on new HD-LCD TV?

The problem is not with your TV. I have had this problem as well and the older the VCR gets the harder it is for it to turn the tape. Does your VCR react the same way with other tapes? Try Fastforwarding the tape about halfway and then test it again.

Olympus DS30 voice recorder play speed issue

Hi, the solution to the problem seems to be the following. When u press play, once, you get 1x play. If whilst playing you press play a second time the DS-30 goes into slow play mode, and if you press a second time it goes into fast mode. For those of us who accidentally went into either fast or slow mode, just press the play button again, during playback, until "play" appears on the LCD screen. Apparently it is as simple as that.
