Yashica Samurai Video 8 playback
I own a Yashica Samurai Video 8, which has a problem with the playback.
I hit play and then the video plays for 3 seconds, then it stops and the 'CAUTION' light becomes lit. I have hours of home movies on this camera and would really like to see them again, as well as put them on VHS.
any help is appreciated

- hi i own a samurai video 8 kx70 and somthing is wrong with the sound, when i put an older tape in that the camera recorded the sound plays fine but ever since i bought the camera i can hardly hear the sound, can anyone help me with this? - joshie123Jun 16, 2008
- I have many video 8 recordings and wanted to digitalize them. when i started to play back i found a lot of jitter to the extent that i dont recognize the video recordings..i tried this on my camera as well as 2 other cameras and the same problem takes place..can you help me save my cassettes with the wondrful old memories?- GuestSolution #1

For your tapes, if you've tried it on several cameras, it may be that your tapes have been damaged or deteriorated with old age. You can take them to a professional to have them cleaned and treated, but that is no guarantee that they will work thereafter, I'm afraid.
