Photonic fence. The mosquito zapper device works by using infra-red light-emitting diode (LED) lamps on a fence post to create a field of light. This field of light reflects from retroreflective material on another fence post, much like that used on roads and highway signs, and bounces back to its source.

I have a flowtron bk-2125 bug zapper, looking at the troubleshooting, it said check for power on the grid, how do i do that. I changed bulb and it is not coming on, it said if i have power then the starter...

If you have no power from the grid then bug zapper is not problem. If bug zapper is a corded plug in application then unplug and plug into a plug in that you know works. Check your breaker panel for a tripped breaker and reset if necessary. Or try a different appliance by plugging something that you know is operational into the same plug. If it works, there is likely an internal problem in bug zapper.

When installing the two required C batteries into my new Stinger bug zapper. In what manner should the batteries be inserted into the battery compartment ?

Not sure which model of Stinger bug zapper you have. If you are using C batteries then it could be a portable racket zapper.

Please check model number and compare with list of manuals on this site.

If there are only two batteries then there are 4 ways in which these can go. You could try and see which one works.

How to wire a bug zapper

It's hard to think of an upside to mosquitoes. Malaria is perhaps one of the most deadly diseases in human history. Then there's yellow fever, dengue, and West Nile, not to mention Zika, a tropical-zone also-ran, until it began to be associated with horrific birth defects. Scientists suspect that, on balance, mosquitoes don't contribute much of anything to the ecosystem, other than fending off humans from despoiling rain forests. They aren't even particularly important to the diet of most of the predators that eat them. And so, as we reach new heights of mosquito fear, we've devised ever-more-advanced ways to kill them.

Blackflag bug zapper does not kill bugs

We know that electronic mosquito zappers usually come exactly in the form of a badminton racket, and quite similarly have a net woven over its top circular frame; whereas the handle part consists of an electronic circuit and a battery pack integrated with the net assembly. The net structure is primarily made up of three layers of metal mesh and is rather a complicated assembly. The inner central layer is actually the "hot" mesh and is terminated as a high voltage source from the circuit enclosed in the lower handle area. The outer two layers are simply connected with the negative of the battery and constitute the ground for a return path to the central "hot" mesh line.

No ozone smell

You probably have a burned out high voltage transformer. That's what produces the ozone. Helpful hint...........the high voltage transformer is also the one used in bug zappers
