Well I just actually had a problem with mine too. I have a Pioneer cd deck and it worked just fine on my way to work, and when I got out, it was just dead. No lights, no sound, no antenna coming up. I was about to just bring it to a local audio repair store but decided to pull it apart first. It was actually a pretty simple fix!! We just pulled the deck out, and checked the wires. The wires going into the deck were fine, but there was a white, plastic piece (almost like a fuse. Maybe it is a fuse) connecting those wires to the next set of wires. You can pull it apart, and it was inside that where I found one of the holes was brown, looking like something burnt out. But all I had to do was take one of those plastic zip-tie things and make sure there was a real tight connection. Then I taped it after that. Kind of a jurry-rig, but it did the trick, and I'm back listening to tunes again!! Thank god for the internet and helpful suggestions from others!

No it could mean the stereo fuse in the cars fuse panel is burnt out or the fuse in the stereo is burnt out if it has one.

this solution is what I thought of when i was installing someones stereo in their vehicle for them. I checked every fuse I could and they were all fine...i even checked the ones that had nothing to do with the stereo or any of its components because prior to this installation I tried installing a deck in my girlfriends car, and for some weird reason, blew an interior lamp fuse. I replaced this fuse and the stereo turned on. In some cases the stereo may not turn on because the proper precautions were not taken beforehand...such as disconnecting the negative from the battery terminal. If power is running through the wires while installing and two of the bare ends of the wires touch you will most likely run in to something like the stereo not wanting to turn on. But before worrying too much about it just take the deck out of the dash and check to make sure the constant wire is connected correctly and the remote wire is also connected correctly. (constant is usually red and remote is usually blue, just make sure they match up)

My stereo isnt working on my templeton electric fireplace

Well what do you expect? Of course it won\'t work you are damaging your stereo with heat from the fireplace. Move it to another place. Oh that does not mean in front of the heater. You have probably melted the heck out of the poor stereo.

Engine wont turn over on my gv 2006

The 1st thing i need to do is clarify what you mean by "won't trun over" do you mean the starter motor spins the engine and it will not fire up or that the starter doesn't trun the engine over? If the starter doesn't turn the engine over do you hear a clicking coming from the starter solenoid when this happens? If so replace the starter solenoid the heavy electrical contacts are burned.

1989 toyota cressida location of all fuses instrument, tail lights won't work

Hi, I have circled the fuse in question. If the fuse is burned, the problem may be due to an improperly wired aftermarket stereo. If you have an aftermarket stereo and this fuse keeps burning, please get back to me.

My heater is smoking does that mean the oil is burned up or can it be fixed

That is a possibility, but for safety reasons I would recommend that you do not turn it on until you have someone with EXP look at it and see fit they can fix it or not.

Not really. It probably fried the either IC board or IVR.It would be much cheaper to buy another one and pay professional to install it.
