Question about Farenheit TID-400 Car DVD Player
CAN IT BE FIXED STILL?
Well I just actually had a problem with mine too. I have a Pioneer cd deck and it worked just fine on my way to work, and when I got out, it was just dead. No lights, no sound, no antenna coming up. I was about to just bring it to a local audio repair store but decided to pull it apart first. It was actually a pretty simple fix!! We just pulled the deck out, and checked the wires. The wires going into the deck were fine, but there was a white, plastic piece (almost like a fuse. Maybe it is a fuse) connecting those wires to the next set of wires. You can pull it apart, and it was inside that where I found one of the holes was brown, looking like something burnt out. But all I had to do was take one of those plastic zip-tie things and make sure there was a real tight connection. Then I taped it after that. Kind of a jurry-rig, but it did the trick, and I'm back listening to tunes again!! Thank god for the internet and helpful suggestions from others!
