Re: Hotpoint aquarius1100 electrical prob.

You say tripped the switch?... are you talking about a circuit breaker???.. I was thinking maybe you have a bad breaker... If you had no problem before... maybe try in a differt plug in reciptical... if the washer has a short.. hard to find looking for needle in hay stack..

We recently bought a new Hotpoint WMF760P washing machine and within a couple of weeks of using it noticed that it kept tripping all of the electrics out in the house, when it goes into it's final fast...

I have seen this before with a number of machines when they were a little overloaded. I've never been convinced that I understood why it happened, though I always suspected a motor overload of some kind causing the issue. This said. There is absolutely no reason for a machine to trip the mains unless it's faulty.

If you have a friendly neighbour who doesn't mind you killing the power in their house, you could always run an extension lead from a neighbour to your house and see if it kills their power too. But like I say, at the end of the day, if it trips the power and you have your electrics checked, then I would INSIST that you get a replacement from Hotpoint. Things that use water and electricity are not to be messed with!

If you can move the machine by a outside door and place the drain hose flat on the floor to outside and machine should drain out.

Electrical problem??

There is obviously an electrical short that is causing the prob.Could be motor, heater, anything really.
With the call out charge and any parts req'd, you could easily be looking at a bill in eccess of £100, possibly more.
Long term, it might be better for you to replace the appliance.

Hotpoint washing machine keeps tripping electric

First unplug your washer. Check the ground on the washer and make sure it isn't loose; this would be a good time to inspect the wiring harness for any problems. Next check the outlet (turn off the electric to that breaker first) make sure all the wires are tight and are making good contact; pay special attention to the neutral (white) wire. If that seems fine, and you are comfortable with going into you breaker panel, turn off that breaker and check the hot (the wire on the breaker) to make sure it isn't loose and then check the neutral wire. If either of these wires seem loose tighten them down....a loose wire will move when a load is put on it and cause the breaker to trip. If all seems normal and washer is still tripping the breaker you might want to replace the breaker.....they can go bad. Good luck!

Hotpoint Aquarius Model WD61 Washer Dryer working but it's noisey

If you've just installed it for the first time ensure that transporting locks been removed (big screws under usualy yellow or white plastic covers at the back side of the machine)
Make sure that machine is standing flat on the floor with no swinging whe you try to move it, this can be achieved by adjusting four legs of the machine (one at each corner).
If neither of those helps than you need to identify when the noise appears what machine is doing at that moment. If the noise appears when it's draining, pumping water out, than your machine's pump is wearing out, or if it's noisy when spining (final spin) than bearing of the drum is wearing out.

Update me about your progress

Good Luck

Check your drain pipe behind. This is supposed to be approx 3 feet above ground level; then the hose goes into the stand-pipe without being too tight. If this does not work, click "thanks for trying"; your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 WD62 (Tumble drying issue).

no the steam from the dryer part comes out of outlet tube the same tube were the water comes out hotpoint washer/dryers use a condensing chamber which allows the steam to cool down a pass through it as water does and through the outlet pipe
