OK, your cam is in use by another program, you need to close that program. Go to Device Manager> Imaging Devices open right click on your webcam and disable, right click on the disabled webcam and enable now try to open the webcam in the sotware you were using.

The computer has a built in webcam already. You dont need to install another webcam. Try to test the webcam using this site. You can actually enable/disable the webcam by pressing Fn + Esc key.

I have cyberlink youcam . it is already built into my laptop , but everytime i click on the youcam icon , the computer say no webcam detected . please help me ):

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa!

What type of computer do you have? A Desktop or a Laptop?

If you have a Laptop, please make sure that the webcam is enabled. Some Laptop have a feature to enable/disable the webcam (example: Lenovo [Press Fn+Esc to enable/disable the webcam]).

Try to reinstall the webcam driver using the drivers disc. If you don't have the drivers disc, you can download it from the computer / webcam manufacturer's web site (example: support.dell.com).

Try also to reinstall the cyberlink youcam software using the drivers disc or you can download it from the computer or webcam manufaturer 's website.

Hope that helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

Try tunring of any system restores, then uninstall all drivers realted to the webcamera, restart pc. let windows itself find the webcam and hopefully this time works. try use software with the pc for its drivers, if it request drivers and you dont have a cd with them tell it to get them from the net. hope this helps.

Hi my cam comes up that my cam might be signed

Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the WLM software may have difficulty in locating it. The webcam software can hang on to programs even if you have exited them correctly. Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in, to reboot it. If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Webcam driver

Some times BIOS disable webcam after updating it.

To enable it do the followings:

1. Restart your Eee PC.
2. Press F2 while booting (to enter BIOS sittings)
3. Go to "advanced" tab (by pressing right arrow)
4. Select "Onboard Device Configuration" (by pressing down arrow)
5. From there you can find if "Onboard Camera" is enabled or not.
6. If not, just press enter to pick "Enabled"

I hope that would help :-)
