My camera is canon a2300 power shot i buy this new camera ok and every thing in camera is ok the problem here its when install this camera on my pc not working i have windows xp SP3 so what the problem here ?

Do you mean re-set? Re-starting is a child's game and if you don't know how to do it, you may as well not try to use the camera!

Normally, you can only insert an SD card one way. Try a different SD card or check to see if the SD card you're using has the "write protect" switch on. If that's not the issue try formatting the card in your PC and then format it in the camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.


Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.


Once the pictures are on your computer, you can move them around and email them the same way as with any other types of files.

This is such a specific request, I'll assume you know what you are doing ..... the ccd sensor is quite a difficult part to change.

From my perspective, best option would be to find a donor body thats defective in a different way. There are lots on eBay ....

One thing you might consider is buying a reasonable secondhand one - again from eBay they are less than $50 ......

Sounds to me like your CCD was damaged. The CCD is the "chip" or "brain" of your camera, so to speak. The only way to fix this is to have the CCD replaced. But first you should find out about the cost, which may be similar to buying a new camera.
