Trying to find where I can get a new thermistor for a Viking wine cooler VUAR141. It is actually a MARVEL 6BAR but I am told that these are the same model. Thank you.

you have a restriction in the cooling side sounds like the filter line dryer is clogged up and will need to be replaced. Also the system will have to be recharged by a professional check to see if its in warranty.

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel.They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.

I experienced same problem with my refrigerator, Marvel ar61. Call Marvel and they will send you a repair kit which includes a new thermostat, switching relay and a new thermistor. My refrigerator is working great.

If light work but not running at all, then change the temp control (thermostat). If compressor and condenser fan motor are running but not cooling, then you have sealed system problem

I also have the same problem. Our Marvel 6BAR runs continuously until the beverages freeze. A technician came out and replaced the thermistor under warranty. It was a simple repair that anyone could do. This solved the problem for about another 18 months, but it has returned. I will now search for this part and do the repair myself. It only takes a few minutes to do.

It sounds like the bulb is not getting power. There is a door switch that turns it off when the door closes...this may be stuck. There is usually an optional (depending on age) ON/OFF switch that overrides the light to be on full time. If the light will also not turn on with that switch then there must be a disconnected or broken wire either going to the light switches or going to the light socket from the switches. I hope this helps.

The dip switches define the temp range. You have it set to the warmest. Try moving the next dip switch to move the range cooler.

sorry for the delay in response time you definatly have a bad thermistor, not able to stabilze temp so it contionues run never shutting doen freezing everything, who ever repairs it (if they haven already,)make sure they put all 3 new peices in, thermistor, potentiometer, and contol box. all 3 come in one kit, 20 min to install
