Bamboo pen eraser works as a brush in photoshop

My bamboo pen has problems in photoshop cs3 when i start up the program depending on when I plug in my tablet it might decide if my pen will work or wont work. The eraser recognizes itself as the nib on the other side so I end up having a two ended pen and no eraser.

What's your background and foreground? If the foreground black and background white? If so, can't help ya'. If not, change the background to white and it might work. (The Eraser just uses the background color, not white like some people may think.)

Try closing ps3 and then reinstall your Bamboo software. Then open ps3 and it should work.

Go to Control Panel, and open bamboo properties. There you select the "pen" tab. In the pen tab you will see tracking. Select pen mode and details. You can map the pad there. After mapping pen mode try it in mouse mode as well. Best of luck!

My Bamboo tablet will not respond to pressure when I use it. I am primarily using Photoshop CS3 for drawing... I've reinstalled all of the drivers, and updated them, but it will still not give any...

Try hitting the pen head into your hand 5 times. Do the same with the eraser ( do it pretty hard but not too hard. I hurt my hand with the pen tip a LITTLE so you can gauge it by that). The humidity in the air causes the pen pressure to stick apparently. I had the same problem and this made it work. You should try and clean it too but if you don't want to take the pen apart this is the way to go. i hope this helps.

That happened to me yesterday. What I did was I went to the wacom site here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php, selected my tablet make and operating system, and downloaded the driver update. I installed it and as soon as it was done my pen started working again. Hopefully this works for you too!

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

I think you need to select the right tool to use with the tablet, I like to use the tablet with the lasso tool. If you want to draw use Adobe Illustrator. If it works as a mouse I think you just need to learn how to use the software you are dealing with.
