Cars been to dealer 4-5 times ,resistors been cahnged ,blower moter, harness, all several times under extended warrenty which has expired.resistor burnede out again bought on line dont know where its located ,or how to get to? HELP.
Just follow the wires from the blower motor. The thing they plug into is the resistor. It's mounted with two screws.
If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can probably fix the resistor for about a buck or two. Most of the time the problem is the thermal fuse, which costs about a dollar or two at Radio Shack or similar places.
It is next to the blower fan up under the passengers side, I think it has 3 or 4 wires on the plug, just unscrew the 2 screws and disconnect the plug with the wires on it, www.kiatechinfo.com is a great place to get info on kia's, hope this helps, you need to know why the resister is going bad, this means a short somewhere, if the blower shorta out then the resister will get over heated, check the switch you ajust fan speed with to see if it is working right.
