Hi Steven,if its not having a burnt smell it must be just water vapor,I Iive in this tropical part of the globe so we don't see much of this vapors coming out of our washing machine after spinning..I hope its just some kind of temperature difference and not an expensive problem. Its ok to tell us more of what you are observing, have a nice day amigo !
hello check the belt first it might have come of or snaped if ok check the door interlock if this ok then cause could be the brushes on the motor these are made of carbon and wear down can cause the motor to stop working these sit on either side of the motor 2 plastic blocks they just slide out hope it helps
hello first thing to check is see if the belt as snaped, if ok then it may be down to the brushes on the motor you will have to take the back off to check . you should see 2 black plastic clips on the motor . the motor may be located at the bottom of the washer. hope it helps
The noise, is it a grinding noisy like worn bearings?
put the washer on drain only - is the pump working ok, take the filter out to see if it is turning ok, does that make a strange noise?
If the pump is fine, its back to that noise, it could be be a faulty tacho on the motor ( regulates the spin speed) or motor bearings - has the motor spindle a lot of play on it?
Let me know how you get on and good look!
you need to access your drain pump and check it for an obstruction but when you pull the hose off keep in mind it might have a lot of water in it i usually use a shop vac and pull all the water out through the drain hose before removing the hose or opening the pump sorry i cant be more specific but ive never cleaned the pump on a hoover
