My (daughter's) C813 was working well till a few days ago when it failed to turn on after being shut off. New batteries did not help. Camera purchased almost exactly 5 months ago. Had replacement plan though Wal-Mart but as still under manufacturer waranty was given number to call for Kodak warranty coverage.

and what was the number for the Kodak warranty coverage??

I have the same problem with a 2 month old Kodak Easy Share Z1085IS. From looking at all of these similar problems online you can bet I will NEVER buy a Kodak camera again. You would think Kodak would have their **** together when it comes to cameras. With the death of film and this lack of quality from Kodak it won't be too many years before we see Kodak needing a bailout too.

My C813 just went dead on me. A friend told me if you hook up directly to a CPU it will suck the life right out of the batteries. I always use a SD card but for this particular time, I forgot to install one before using.

After searching and getting the run around, the only solution I've found is to BUY a new camera that IS NOT Kodak!!! I had never had a problem with Kodak until now...I WILL NOT buy this brand ever again!

You know, I've got a Kodak M1063 Easy share, and it's doing the same exact thing. Plus, the lends would get stuck. If you find answers, let me know!

Wont turn on

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).

2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera

3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

Kodak easyshare C813 screen

Hi, are you having issue on camera LCD screen that it will not show anything on the screen? Kodak Easyshare C813 has no feature to turn the LCD screen Off only Kodak Easyshare Z series and some M series that has a view finder that you can switch the LCD screen off and just use the view finder to save battery power.

My kodak easyshare c813 camera but it wont turn on

Your problem is likely due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Kodak camera wont come on even with new batteries

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. Before you pay for expensive repairs that you may or may not need, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Kodak C813 Camera will not turn on.

this is a firmware problem that has been happening to many digital cameras, especially koday easyshare. Either the zoom/lens is stuck or the firmware needs updating. Kodak offers to fix the problem for $50
