Freezer won't stay defrosted

How do I locate the defrost timer, defrost themostat and defrost heater and how do I tell which is inoperable?

defrost heater is behind the freezer rear panel along with the defrost sensor,check doors are sealing correctly, usual fault on this unit isdefrost sensor
