Hello im just after putting new windows Xp into my laptop (Acer Aspire 5101 ) and Orbicam seems to be not working. The screen is not black, its grey. It still takes pictures but you can't see nothing in there . I even tried to put the driver from Acer.com again and its same thing happening. Please help me with it
I have an Acer 5101ANWLMi laptop with webcam inbuilt unfortunately I had to format it and reinstalled whole stuff.
I could manage to install all drivers in xp except Webcam, which i suppose is Suyin, but supplied driver cd don't have the driver for the same. Wonder is that it works under windows camera wizard but while we try in masanger it don't.
It shows under USB device as USB camera, but dont work in messanger.
Pls help me to get rid of this,
Thanks in advance,

If you have a grey rectangle where ur cam should be. Especially after a
fresh install plus all the drivers. although Then here's your solution
:)
Go
into device manager and delete the USB controller. Then reboot. When it
says new hardware found let it automatically install it. Et
voila, working cam :)

Just double check that you havent loaded the Bison camera driver or the Vista driver as your system doesnt list the orbicam as being fitted, but you obviously have so go to the link below and download the logitech driver, as this is what i used http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/ftp/ftp.html
