A Trojan Horse is full of as much trickery as the mythological Trojan
Horse it was named after. The Trojan Horse, at first glance will appear
to be useful software
but will actually do damage once installed or run on your computer.
Those on the receiving end of a Trojan Horse are usually tricked into
opening them because they appear to be receiving legitimate software or
files from a legitimate source. When a Trojan is activated on your
computer, the results can vary. Some Trojans are designed to be more
annoying than malicious (like changing your desktop,
adding silly active desktop icons) or they can cause serious damage by
deleting files and destroying information on your system. Trojans are
also known to create a backdoor
on your computer that gives malicious users access to your system,
possibly allowing confidential or personal information to be
compromised. Unlike viruses and worms, Trojans do not reproduce by
infecting other files nor do they self-replicate.
Trojan Generic is a downloader Trojan that sneaks into your system through vulnerabilities. Once Trojan Generic is installed, Trojan Generic downloads more malware and adware, and launches ads on Internet Explorer. http://www.fasterpccleanclean.com/trojan-generic-removal
It could have been a "trojan" that was imitating the "look-and-feel" of Microsoft Security Essentials software, trying to convince you to download 'ThinkPoint' -- which itself could be a computer-virus.
Can you use "System Restore" to go "back" in time to a checkpoint created a few days ago,
i.e., before your computer was infected?
System automatically shutdown or restart by itself when it's overheated due to Dust or dirt contamination in order to prevent hardware burn out.
Open your Notebook which is little tough to explain as it is different for all models. and get it clean with an Air Blower mainly near the Processor area, check the CPU cooling fan is working or not.Get it clean too.
Check now if the system is working fine.
Method 2 : Malware, Trojan, Virus infection Malware, Trojan, Virus infection can caused a system to repeatedly restart or shutdown as they infect svchost.exe or explorer.exe.
Scanning the system with a good antivirus like Norton,Kaspersky internet security 2010 or A-squared Anti-Malware or Avast Antivirus with their lastest updates install can solve the problem.
I wouldn't try to install Norton on a machine I suspected had a virus (or at all really). There is a Norton removal tool on the Symantec website that might be useful, but you still need to get rid of the Trojan. There are a lot of free online virus scanners that should do the job. If you can go online in safe mode that would be best, or you could disable everything on startup using MSConfig.
