There is a hose that seems unattached and is leaking clear fluid (Left side of the engine, back against the front of the car.) My check engine light just came on. What hose is it?

If fluid looks like water and open hose, Sounds like the drain for the air conditioner for condensation from running the air.

1 OF 2 (brake fluid or power steering) unless you are using water in the rad then cooling line

Is there supposed to be more to that hose? It just ends there and fluid is coming out the end. I can't see any place where it used to connect.

SOURCE: I think the water pump is leaking. the car gage

Try to borrow a good size make-up mirror from a female friend. With the mirror in hand and as good small flashlight, look under the area of the waterpump while the engine is cold. You should see a greenish or redish stain on the bottom of the waterpump shaft. The pump usually only leaks when it's running and when it gets to cold temps. Place a piece of cardboard under the crossmember when you park the vehicle for the night and look the next day for leakage indications. Thanks, Dana

SOURCE: Small steady water leak from

Might possibly be a leaking heater core or a freeze plug on the side of the engine. A small leak might be patched up with some radiator sealer but I would show the leak to the mechanic who repaired the cylinder head first. Hopefully he missed something minor and solve your problem with ease.

I would check for a vacuum leak in the vicinity of the number 3 cylinder port in the intake manifold. I check for vacuum leaks with starting fluid. It's dangerous to check for leaks this way, so be careful! Spray the starting fluid at specific areas of the engine and listen for the rpms to go up. If you find a leak, look for broken hoses or gaskets. I would also check your spark plug wire routing and make sure that the wires are held secure and are far enough from any metal that they wont rub against metal if the wires move slightly from engine vibration.

Loud roaring from front right side goes away during a left curve then comes back when you straghten up

This is caused by a bad wheel bearing. to locate the right wheel jack the front wheels up and check for the wheel being loose, or with car jacked up in the air with front wheel off the ground put it in drive and see if you can listen for the noise, you may be right with the right front but just double check, good luck, hope this is helpful.

It is leaking muliple substances. one is red leaking on the right side of the car and right next to the red leak its a tube looking thing that is frayed and leaking a clear oily substance, the other is...

The "Red" is transmission fluid, the "Clear" is most likely power steering fluid, or it could be "refrigerent oil" from the A/C. I don't know what could be leaking in the rear of the car maybe oil from one of the rear struts or maybe brake fluid. Do the brakes seem to work OK yet? If so it's probably not brake fluid. It could be condensation coming out of the muffler, there a weap hole in the muffler to allow excess water to run out. It might be picking up some color from the muffler. The transmission and the power steering are the biggest concerns you don't want to let the fluid level get low on either of those. If the transmission is leaking on the right side it's most likely the axel seal or maybe the pan gasket. Neither of these should be an expensive fix. But, you should get it to a shop and have it checked out. Try to find an independent shop instead of the dealer the independents are usually cheaper and do just as good of work. Get an estimate!!

Orange fluid leak (most likely power steering fluid)

Check your hoses around your power steering resevoir, you might have a pin hole leake in one of the hoses. Make sure to keep an eye on the fluid level. As long as you keep fluid in it you won't burn out the pump.

Water leak on the passenger rug for 2003 Corolla

well if you have water or coolant leaking on to the rug in your car, first you must remember that every car has 2 radiators. One for the Engine which is in the front of your car under the hood and one for your heater, which is usually hidden deep behind the dash inside of your car. So if you are leaking fluids on to the rug in the car; Im 90% sure its going to be something dealing with the heater radiator. What you have to do is find out where your heater radiator is on your car and check all the hoses.
