Whenever I record it cuts a few seconds off...

Hi, I have been using a samsung camera for a about half a year now, and the recording is very good quality. But last night, out of the blue it started cutting off the first few seconds of my recorded tape. I am using a mini DV camera and using Sony and JVC, can you guys help, it's my aunties wedding and I'm recording and I'm sure you can guess I don't want that happening.

Check your leader tape. BTW: Recording a title page makes for a better keep-sake. ie: Jane and Fred's Wedding August 10, 2009 writtrn in a heart. Tape 1, Tape 2...
