Question about Philips GoGear HDD1830 MP3 Player

Acoutic Solutions MP3 256 Mb from China

Bought from Argos but now know it is a direct import from China and no connection with Acoustic Solutions UK. On attempting to Format the MP3, made the mistake of using format FAT32, when it should have been FAT. My windows XP computer now freezes when I insert the MP3 in a USB Port. When I try opening up My Computer first, then inserting the MP3 Player in a UB slot, the MP3 icon does not appear on screen. On the one occasion that it did the MP3 Icon had a large red fault plastered across it. Any suggestions ?

Try this, put it in MSC mode,Plug into your computer, open My Computer,(The player will show as a drive)Open up the player, open the folders and delete what you want deleted. Then when you want to add more songs,Open it the same way as above and drag and drop them. You do NOT need to use a media player to load or remove items. And Please rate this solution.

MP4 Issues

i have having the same problem. my mp4 player is also from china, (bought on ebay) When i turn it on the hour glass appears and that is all that appears. i know i did some reading up, it was suggested that we reset the player. Apparently there is a pinhole at the bottom of the player, if we insert a pin it should reset, well i tried that. it didnt work, they also suggested changing the battery, well i can't even find where the battery is.
