Thermostat Pilot does not light

This unit should be electronic ignition. Multiple issues could be the cause. First check the flame sensor. If those is not the problem then probably a bad control board. Don't know specs on the resistance of the flame sensor. You could try cleaning it with an emery cloth or sandpaper. Do not touch flame sensor with fingers it will ruin it

A simple mixture of 3 ingredients will make any and all of your clothing into...

I used to be afraid that one day my house would catch on fire and that my children's clothing wouldn't be fire resistant and how unsafe that would be. I spent time online doing research and found a very simple and easy to follow recipe for a flame retardant that can be applied to clothing.

What you have to do is wash your clothes like you do normally and rinse as normally. Using a bucket mix 1 gallon of water with 9 ounces of Mule Team Borax and 4 ounces of boric acid (adjust amounts according to the ratio 1:9:4). Soak the clothing in this mixture, squeeze out the excess liquid and dry normally.

When ever you wash the clothing you should reapply the flame retardant because it washes out in the laundry.

If you want to make clothing that cannot be soaked fire retardant then what you can do is pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray a light layer on to the clothing. Allow it to dry and just like regular clothing after washing reapply the mixture to ensure its still fire retardant.

Please also note that this does not make your clothes fire repellent, this will make them less likely to catch fire in the case of a fire.

Ge gas dryer heats but doesnt dry

if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.

Can we use powered Dreft Detergent to wash our baby clothes. Have been unable to find liquid detergent for baby clothes. Please respond promptly.

I would highly NOT recommend it. powder likes to clump inside the front loads. I would use a fragrence(SP) free soap if dreft is not available inliquid or h.e. as well be aware most baby detergents are not flame retardent. meaning in case of fire the soap residue left on the clothes naturally do not resist to flames as most detergents do.

My maytag dryer is taking more time than usual to dry up clothing. Can anyone help identifying the problem and possible solution? Thank

you have to clean out the dryer and the vent line, unplug the dryer, remove the lint filter and then you need to remove and clean out the duct that the filter slides into, then vac out the cabinet where the motor is,go outside and check the vent, make sure it's clear, then remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,if it's a long vent line i use a leaf blower to blow out the line.also if you have a gas dryer, check it after 15 to 30 minutes to make sure the flame is still igniting,if the gas coils are bad they will fail when they heat up,when they heat up the flame doesn't lite until the coils cool down and your clothes will be warm but wet.you should clean the dryer once a year if it's gas and once every two years if it's electric, gas dryers have an open flame and the lint can catch fire easier than electric dryers,do this and your clothes will dry on time,no fires, save energy and money on your bill.good luck

you still have a block somewhere.remove the duct that the lint filter slides into, make sure the outside vent is clear and blow out the vent line with a leaf blower,i told this to someone else and they blew a birds nest out of the line and they said the line was clear, also remove the t-stats on the blower wheel housing and check the back of them, sometimes lint and dust gets stuck on the back of them and they don't read right.if that looks fine change out the gas coils but i'd say you have a clog somewhere

MAYTAG MDG6200 AWW flame keeps keeping going out

Your thermostat is broken.
I think the gas 5 wire or the heat limit
FOR THESE PARTS LINK
or what i would check first is the fuse on the blower housing which is a thermal fuse. A regulat ohm meter /resistance meter can do the trick. No resistance should be measured or very low on this fuse. If uninfinit restistance this one is broken.
It can also be the limit thermostat . Measure when cold. > low resistance.
This is another link for PARTS
Good luck

I have a lg dryer model dlg2532w gas dryer it does get warm

if the cloths are warm and wet the problem is not with the dryer but in the venting. check the air flow at the end of the line (where the exhaust leaves the building) if the air baffels are not fully opening when the drier is on there is probably an issue with the venting. remember to tape up the venting joints after inspecting it because it is also the exhaust for the gas. hope this helps.
