DVD won't play

After several minutes of "loading" this message comes on the screen:

1. "This disc cannot be played."

2. "Please check the disc."

BUT...the disc plays OK in another machine.

The VHS works normally.

Its Sounds as if your DVD went kaput this tends to be a problem with most combination players usually the VCR goes first also you may need to run a cleaning CD made for DVD players maybe that will help.
