Lens or lens gearbox damaged that is why camera switches off automatically to prevent additional damage. You should send camera in for a quote because replacing impacted lens can be v. expensive. If you are lucky it is the gear box and that does not cost so much to fix.

I dropped my Polaroid i735 Digital Camera once and the screen has been blurry...even the pictures turn out blurry. Is there any way to fix the screen?

You dropped it only once? Hmmmm ....

I don't think the problem is with the screen.
It's more like the lens can't focus properly anymore, and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I'd take it to my local camera repair place, and give them the classic:
"Don't ask me what happened. I lent it to my baby-brother, and he said the camera worked OK."

They just may give you a free estimate.

I just recently purchased my camera. It worked the first time I used it, now it will not turn on. I have replaced the batteries to be sure this was not the problem. What is going on? I have put my ear up...

Normal batteries it's not working for me!
You must replace standard alkalines with rechargeable NiMH batteries Sony or Varta 2700 Ni-MH. For me it's was working!

It started failing after a few shots in that it wouldn't retract as if the batteries were run down. Now it wont activate even when brand new batteries are put in, It merely flashes with the red allert light...

What can happen is the lens on them can go ofsidded, if the lens is not retracting back in give it a firm push untill u hear a click and turn off and on, hope this helps in some way.

Dryer Won't Start

Make sure it has power. Then:Check the door switch. A little lever sticking down through top right of door opening. If it is not there you will need new door switch(sometimes the little lever breaks off). If it is there and does not click when you press it in you need a new door switch. if it clicks when you close the door then you have a bad thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is found by taking the back of the dryer off. The fuse is an oblong white plastic piece with 2 wires attached.

Door switch part number 3406109
Thermal fuse part number 3392519

The lens is blurry and makes a buzzing noise when turned on

Well all the moving parts of the lent are plastic and most likely the reason Y you hear that sound it's because one of the hummmm the tiny wheels , that are connected to the mechanism of the focus on the lent is busted..... so replace that.

(some times if you take the camera to the beach the sand get to the mechanism ans stock the wells. In that case cleaning of the lent will suffice)

Now parts are not that easy to find some times companys only sale the complete lent and it will cost you, in that case you will need to decide if "REPAIR" or "BUY NEW" camera will be better

No picture, then no picture and no sound

if your could hear a slight ticking (tick-tick tick) or whining then some electronic component might have been damaged (shorted). if you have no experience repairing electronic equipments then i suggest you to send your TV to a service station!

Camera lens is out, but camera is off

First deconnect all batteries, usb cable anything from the camera. Leave it for about 1 hour and then without connecting batteries press and keep the the power button pressed for about 1min. Then press twice on every other button including the shuter, zoom or stuff like that. This should reset a microcontroller that remembers the last operation done. This doesn't reset the camera. After this, connect the batteries and try to power it again. IF this doesn't work. Try to push the lens back in using your fingers. Don't force them to much if they doesn't appear to go back. Use 2 fingers to press on the lens one on each side aplying equal pressure. You may hear a click noise when the lents start to go back. Again, don't force them to much. Try these at first and then if they doesn't work, please post back and specify what does the camera do. No led's no nothing or ..?

Lens stayed out

You may have a damaged lens mechanism. This happens most often due to some shocks received by the camera. This problem will require service assistance because a lens mechanism is a VERY delicate equipment that needs calibration and proper tools to work with. The single thing you may try is to press back the lents using 2 fingers, one at each side, aplying equal pressure. Don't force them too much however if you see they don't want to get back. Turn on, then off the camera and while it tries to do the same job, give it this ..help. You will hear a click sound when the lens come back in. This works for about 30% - 40% situations, but it depends on the type of damage the camera suffered.
