Spill beer on my blackberry 8780, did the rice technquie, work fine till later in the evening. when i put the battery in it goes on n jump into safe mode? then my phone on lock so the crusor wont seem to...

You didn't let it dry out all the way so the liquid in there is acting like a conductor screwing everything up . The computer inside shut down to save itself. What you have to do is take out battery and sim card and then cover to expose insides. let air dry in well ventilated space for 24 hours and then start over. It should work but it might have been too late and in which case you need a new phone. If you ever get anything electronic wet, shut it down immediately take apart and let air dry and in some cases if the goo is too bad then you need to take an alcohol swab and clean off the components. Electronics are great but they are not invincible.

Spilled vodka on my phone (LG Shine). Diddnt get too wet. The little whit sticker is still white so apparently it did not get to wet. Now the phone will turn on, show the AT&T logo, and then turn off....

The next solution is about water damage , just try it for your problem :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc . it sounds crazy .
Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY .
Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.
Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.
It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.
rate if useful please !

I got my Palm Centro wet. I took the screws out

do not put your phone in ANY liquid, even rubbing alcohol! any liquid puts your phone at risk of corrosion in places you cannot see. even if it works fine now, that is no guarantee that there is not still small amounts of moisture inside that may still cause damage later. take your phone apart, put all the pieces of your phone in a ziploc bag of uncooked rice, and LEAVE IT IN THERE for at least 24 hours. having the battery in at all when there may be moisture inside puts your phone at risk for more damage. save yourself trouble later by leaving it alone in the rice for as long as you can. two days would be better.

The screen says download.

Try removing the battery. If it returns to that screen, there is not a lot you can do.

Razr V3 water damage

Sounds dire. If you look inside the back of the phone, there should be a small spot that turns from white to pink when the phone gets wet. If that spot is bright pink, most repairers won't even bother trying to fix it. Best off buying another phone!

Haunted Phone!

well i can say I have had this issue before myself alot of the time it was due to interferance, lots of metal and steel in the way I had calls come in VM 4 days later make sure your always close to a window if there is lots of metal or tin around.

other then that I would contact your local dealer and tell them of the issue and see if there is something that can be fixed on the unit or if it is just a flaw of the phone itself and if possible upgrade or downgrade of the phone to one that will work correctly in your enviroment.
