Kenmore elite canyon capacity top load washer

I just ran my day old kemore elite washer. On the thrid load i am getting a lid message. i have reviewed the trouble shooting guide in the manual that simply suggests is the lid open. First it allows me to choose the load setting, i put the soap, fabric softner and color safe bleach. close the lid and press start and that is when i get the lid message. there is no water in the tub just small load of clothes. Any suggestions for my 800.00 fancy machine that is not working?

The door of the Kenmore Elite 4.3 cu. ft. Front Load Steam Washer won't open

Ouch. Well I believe cll is child lid lock or something to that effect is engaged. You will have to find something to manually turn the locking gear or if you have a manual figure out the watts/amps and use some type of power adapter similar to that to jump the lid lock to open. Turn it off and back on and it should begin working again. But either the door lock, the door close sensor, or the main board are faulty.

I keep getting f1 error

In the event of an F-1 error try the following steps before replacing the control. Blow through the tubing to tub to make sure no obstructions is in there, make sure the tubing is airtight, make sure the tubing does not have a hole in it if all of that don't do it then watch the following video:
It is a rotor position sensor replacement video which pretty much shows what is involved with the tubing going to the bottom of the tub.

My washer will not spin and oL keeps coming up on it

My guess would be that oL stands for "overloaded" and that it will not run becuase of a weight sensor that says there are too many clothes in the load. You might try removing some of the clothes to see if it will spin as expected. if not, maybe the sensor responsible for reporting this error is registering an overload situation even when there isn't one.

Washplate problem Kenmore Elite Calypso washer

Hello genny2626

You said, your 6 year old Kenmore elite top loader's wash plate doesn't seem to go through its proper motions. When the lid is closed and the washer has filled and the agitating cycle begins, you can hear a vibrating noise as if the plate is trying to move on the gentle cycle, but when the lid is opened, nothing has moved at all. The drain and spin work fine, and the machine goes through an entire cycle without error messages, but the clothes aren't clean. You said, you have heard a lot of horror stories of how expensive these washers are to repair, so would like an idea of what's wrong beforehand.

Here are a list of common vibration noises

Noisy, vibrating, off-balance

Is the washer level? Does the washer rock when pushed
against the corners?
The washer must be level. The front and rear feet must be in
firm contact with the floor. Check that the locknuts are
tightened. See “Level the Washer.”
Is the floor flexing, sagging or not level?
Flooring that flexes or is uneven can contribute to noise and
vibration of the washer. A ³⁄₄" (1.9 cm) piece of plywood under
the washer will reduce the sounds. See “Location
 Is the load balanced?
Evenly distribute the load in the washer basket and make
sure the height of the load does not exceed the top row of
basket holes. See “Starting Your Washer.”
Do you hear clicking or other noises when the cycle
changes from washing to draining or spinning?
When the drive system shifts or the washer basket settles
between cycles you may hear noises that are different from
your previous washer. These are normal washer noises.
Is the washer gurgling or humming?

Is the washer level? The wash load
should be balanced and not overloaded. The washer must be
level. The front feet should be properly installed and the nuts
tightened. Reset the rear leveling legs (if needed). See the
Installation Instructions.
Did you completely remove the yellow shipping strap with
cotter pins? See the Installation Instructions.
• Are the gears engaging after the drain and before spin, or
is the upper part of agitator clicking during wash? These
are normal washer noises.

Let me know if any of these are the solution!
