Problem for iLO +R/RW DVD Recorder, DVDR05

Stopped recording/won't open door for disc at all

While recording off tv, it kept sounding like it was stopping and starting, but at the same time, kept counting as if it was still recording, It didn't record anything though. Once we took the disc out and the door closed, now it won't open the door at all. It comes on, just won't open the door and says, no disc.

There's a slot on the bottom where you can insert a small slotted screwdriver and slide it to the left to get it open.
