Your radiator could be glogged and causing it to back up out of overflow,drain coolant,if still good,save and remove bottom hose from radiator get hose and insert in radiator and let run and see how flow is,if clooged,go to autozone and tell them what is happening and they will get you what you need to unglog .To check water pump,unscrew radiator cap and put over opening,crank engine,let it get at operating temperature,remove cap and check flow.Click on link to view radiator flush. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Fluids-and-Chemicals/Radiator-Cleaner-and-Additive/_/N-262g?filterByKeyWord=radiator+flush&fromString=search
Hi,
A common culprit to cause a quick engine overheating is a stuck thermostat. They're too cheap not to replace if questioned. It could save an engine from warping and blowing head gaskets. If this isn't your problem, you'll need to see if the water pump is dying (it'll leak)... or if the radiator is glogged... which I doubt with this late of model.

the best way is to take off front and the top, remove the belt from the pully and motor,make sure door is closed and drum removed. Start the dryer and allow to run looking and listening it could just be glogged in the blower section,. If it still stops it's the motor,if not its iethieg glogged our the pullies belt and tensioner need replacing if its a whirlpool, it could also be a back bering....
