I have a white macintosh g4 laptop that freezes after about 15 minutes of use, even without the battery in. After a while it will run again for another 15 minutes. Any ideas?

How old is this iBook & what version of OS X is it running? Click on the Apple in the top-left & select "About This Mac."

when typing on my g4 ibook, the curser jumps to the above lines ramdomly, all the time and I have to bring the curser back to where I want to type. Very frustrating. Did i hit the wrong sequences of keys and activated some kind of setting on my ibook g4?

Open System Preferences:
Click on the Lightbulb Icon entitled "Energy Saver"
Adjust the preferences for each of the two options:
Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for:
1min 15min 1hr 3hrs Never
Put the display to sleep when it is inactive for:
1min 15min 1hr 3hrs Never
Set these for Power Adaptor and Battery separately.
