Air cont flow sensor may have failed cannot remember on 1.4 model but on 2.0 model its on the left side of the engine. it could be this. a/c dont usually have codes to store. accelerator code is the sensor on the intake on the side. prob just needs cleaning mark were it fits with a pen and take off. on op side there is a hole spray some wd40 in the hole cover it and shack it around . then tip out and leave to dry. then put back on. should be fine then.

Does the sound stop after a minute or two? IF so, this is normal. When the a/c is working, there is high pressure on one side of the expansion valve, and low pressure on the other. When you turn the a/c off, the pressures equalize. That's the noise you are hearing.

I'm going to give this some thought and try to get back with you tomorrow....a cousin back home in Missouri is a MoPar nut and an excellent mechanic in his own right.
