Creative zen vision :m 30gb wont turn on

I had my creative Zen and it has not been on for over a year because i lost the charger.i found charger and plugged it into my system and my system wont turn on

If you don't have the kind of charger that goes directly into the dock connector, the zen vision needs a 5V charger ( it happens to be compatible with the PSP charger). if you just plug it into a usb cord it will not charger. you may also need the little white adapter piece the goes into the dock connector. i know only one place that sells older creative zen accessories and repairs creative zen visions . if you have all of that: i assume you pressed the little reset button on the bottom, it may just be frozen? if that doesn't work and you are sure you're charging it right, your logic board is dead.

You could try a firmware update/reinstall. If that doesn't work you may have a bad mainboard.

Problem could be the combination of a bug that causes the device to freeze and the battery running out. If...
- the player won't turn on
- the player won't connect to PC
- the standard reset action won't work,

plugging the player in the AC charger may pull up the recovery screen which will allow you to proceed and reboot, provided the player has no other eg hardware issues.

MI CREATIVE ZEN VISION M 30GB!! CAN'T SYNC WITH MI PC ( XP )
What did you do before the problem was showed up? I have same bug since the moment I was try to connect my ZEN Vision M thru iPod cable. I still can use it as player, but lost the ability to syncronize it with PC. Looks like I fucked up something in my hardware.

My creative zen vision:M 30GB
Hi you can try going to Creative's web site and downloading there Creative MP3 Player Recovery Tool software and what that does is update everything and most of the time it will fix what the problem . I would try that first.

Creative Zen Troubles
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

Have you only been attempting using a USB port to charge it? I just fixed my problem. I have a wall charger from the Creative Zen Touch that worked perfect on it when the USB didn't do a thing. Usually I'm able to charge it with my RAZR phone charger in the wall but that didn't work and neither did my computer charger via USB but I tried the old wall charger and it seemed to do the trick.
