Question about Whirlpool Gold Duet GHW9400P 3.8 Cu. Ft. Front-Loading Washer
Duet electric dryer has a burnt smell when using the heat setting.
Eliminate the dryer sheets and use liquid fabric softener. The burnt smell is GONE!!

Open the service panel and check that the heating element is clear from any lint on it. Be awre you should unplug the power cable before touching the heating element. Good luck!

The burnt smell usually comes when the motor is going bad,
as the unit works I won't recommend you to use it for a long time and get the
motor checked-replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further
