"A" is not an error code. It means "all bogeys" and should be working fine

Probably your waste ink counter. Should be cleaned or replaced before resetting but usually you can get away with resetting once.
1. Start with printer OFF
2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER

0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.

Have you recently replaced the drum?

• The Drum LED blinks if the drum unit is near the end of its life. Use the drum unit until you have a print quality problem, then replace the drum unit with a new one.

• The Drum LED continues to blink if the drum counter was not reset when you replaced the drum. To reset the drum follow the instructions below:

1. Open the front cover of the printer.
2. Press and hold down Go button for about 4 seconds until al the LEDs light up. Once all 4 LEDs are lit, release the Go button.
3. Close the front cover.

Reset the drum counter only when you replaced the drum unit with a new one.

Cek status monitor ? Service required / end life? Use SSC utility to reset wate ink counter.Menu protention counter. Show cuurent value for checking. If value exceeded maximum, reset protection counter. Or Clear counter overflow.

Sounds like the unit needs repair. Valentine is very good usually and their repair service is good. I have had one for 5 years - no problems.

Have you tried removing the battery and replacing it again?

Most common problem with TV is the following. The underline is the problem 99.9% of the time.
LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001 4. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V).

steady blinking is the DM failing to complete the boot sequence. Your more than likely needing the DM repair kit.

the higher the number the stronger the signal.
