Have been using Lexmark 4350 for a while with Windows XP. All well. Now have Windows vista. Tried to install with installation disc and it would not work at all. Downloaded Vista driver from Lexmark and now the scanner works but the printer will not. I just get message "Problem communicating with the printer" . Any ideas please?

I had a similar issue when I tried to connect to my printer via P2P. The older drivers were installed and the printer would not function correctly. After I found the correct drivers I attempted to install and always got the same error, "an older version has been found blah blah."
My solution is I did a system restore before I connected to the printer and installed the Vista drivers.

Thanks for offering suggestion but yes, I did already download the driver from Lexmark. However, the driver does not install correctly. I have done this 3 separate times so far, each time ensuring previous drivers were erased first and turning off Norton protection during installation. I end up every time with a message saying the driver has not installed properly. The scanner part of the Lexmark 4350 works fine but it will not print anything at all. Although there clearly IS communication between computer and printer (otherwise the scanner could not be activated by the computer) when it comes to printing it keeps saying "problem communicating with the printer".

I have recently acquired a Toshiba laptop with Vista ( not by choice) replacement through insurance. I have tried to install Lexmark all in oneP4350 printer cannot print anything at all!! I have been onto advised site with no luck. Please help.

Same problem Will scan and copy but will not print. Another winblows POS OS. At least XP and W2K worked.
I have tried installing Lexmark p4350 printer on 2 different computers, one with XP, one with Vista. I have even reinstalled windows multiple times and tried again, no avail. I think it might be an issue on the side of Lexmark. Driver installed incorrectly
