RCA DRC8335 takes over an hour to finalize DVD

If not alot of info to be recorded use a lower record mode. Drop it to 2-4 hrs. Or you can fill the disc completely then try to finalize. Hope This Helps.

Hi sjw632001,

Or should I say Steve Warren of Enfiield Ct? It's good that you can't fix your vcr. We wouldn't want you graduating from soliciting kids online for sex to watching child porn now would we?

Enjoy your time with bubba!

P.S. Aren't you NOT supposed to be on the internet?

RCA DRC8335 only three months old either fails to finalize DVDs or says "BAD DISK" when I try to play them right after recording. Using Sony media.

Yeah, i have a diferent model by
RCA and it is trivial if it will do what it is supposed to. Return it if it is still under warranty and go for a better brand. These RCA units are flaky and similar problems are widely reported.

My rca dvd/vcr player and recorder DRC8335,when i put a vhs recorded movie in to transfer to a dvd disc dvd r.4.7gb up to max 16x with 120 records the movie just fine but it has a humming sound...

it was the ep play on my vhs that caused the humming sound, when I recorded another vhs sp it worked just fine.Bottom line, when your transferring from vhs to dvd-r make sure its sp instead of ep and that will work just fine.As far as rca model drc8335,or any other brand,I'm a baby boomer and what I grew up with was Zenith, rca, motorola, etc.but what I have found is this, that all the brands that I grew up with that my parents believed to be the very best USA MADE are now made in CHINA,and thats what we get as our legalacy for outsourcing.Shame on us and shame on the greedy corporations for that!!!shame on you and shame on us!!!!! for not boycotting these corp greedy people who sucked us into believing that they had our best interest in mind.I for one as a baby boomer will not in the future buy buy anything that IS NOT MADE IN THE GOOD OLE USA OF A!!!!.We AS PARENTS AND OF THE BABY BOOMER GENERATION SHOULD LET THE GOVERNMENT KNOW THAT WE A FORCE STILL TO BE RECKONED WITH!!!!WE ARE 70 MILLION STRONG AND WE ARE YOUR PARENTS NOW!!!!AND WE STILL HAVE A SAY IN THIS LAND OF OURS<WATCH OUT BUSH!!!!YOUR A MORON AND YOUR REPUBLICAN PARTY IS OUT !!!YOU WERE BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON IN YOUR MOUTH AND I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON IT!!!ther folks i finally got it off my chest<good luck to you all with your inferior products made in china!!!

Model DRC 8310 RCA VCR/DVD player/recorder combo.

Did you put a splitter onto the cable signal? If yes, the signal is attenuated to much and there simply isn't enough signal for the recorder to decode. Call your cable company and request a signal amplifier be placed on your line. It's usually free.

DRC 8335 Playing Back VCR Recordings in a Fast Forward State

I bought mine yesterday and am having the same issues. No solution listed in the user manual to fix this and I have a rather extensive VHS tape library that I was hoping to move to DVD using this unit. Unable to watch any VHS tapes taped on my Panasonic VCR and it seems as if the tape is slipping. Tracking buttons don't fix anything. I found a blank spot at the end of the tape and taped something and it comes out fine. Could this have something to do with it being a 6 head VCR? Tapes are in SLP mode.

Can't view DVD's burned from the tv on a DRC8335 RCA DVD recorder

If you do not finalize the disc then you can not play it back. Go back to your instruction manual and look under 'setting options'. There should be a choice to 'finalize disc before ejecting'. The recorder will not finalize a disc until it knows when you are done recording, so you have to tell it somehow.
